Krytac Alpha CRB vs Krytac Trident CRB

Which should I get? I plan on using a 11.1v LiPo in either one I get, I am primarily playing outdoors and I'm thinking if I were to get the Alpha CRB I would install a new motor and spring. Also is the barrel/hop up assembly on either good as stock? Or would a flat hop be better?

They are both Krytacs...internally they are the same.

As for upgrades...do nothing. You should not upgrade anything until you play with it a lot, like at least 10 times. Then you will know what you may need to upgrade. Making changes before you actually use an item is not smart...especially on the wallet.
The Alpha has a lighter spring and a weaker motor than the CRB, but is otherwise the same internally. So yes, you can definitely save some money buying the CRB and upgrading the motor.
If you want to use an 11.1 on the Alpha, you definitely should throw a new spring in there. It will overspin otherwise. The stock motor will hold up with a new spring, but Id still look into upgrading that as well. The stock hop up is also very serviceable. I was actually impressed with it.

I’ve been running mine as is since I got it mid 2017. It’s been great and is the only gun in my collection I have yet to crack open. I do suggest the spring and motor upgrades strongly if you plan to field it outdoors.
