Hello again everyone, been a while since I was on last and I come bearing questions (lucky you) regarding one of my side projects. I would like to find some way to make a new "screw cap?" for my spare mag. This pistol is a CO2 KWC and I understand that support and replacement aren't words associated with this company but I was able to find a piece of threaded pipe that fits with the threads in the magazine so I thought I would give it a try.

Before I go on, I want to make sure everyone is on the same page with my terminology and what I am referring to.

Still not sure if that is the actual name for the part or not, but that is what I mean by screw cap.

Back to business, after purchasing that pipe piece it donned on me that if it takes standard 12 gram co2 bulbs like it does, then the size of the cap shouldn't vary from one brand to another. So I looked into other similar parts and came up with a few. Now I lack the hands on experience with CO2 mags and multiple brands so I am hoping that you can give me an opinion on if they might work, and if they don't work, then why?

Claims to be universal, aside from the height of the cap I would think it could work.

Maybe Marui can lend a hand? Also have a green gas conversion cap available for that model as well. Which leads me to my next option.

Straight from KWC so I would expect the best match up here, but of course no CO2 with that cap. As long as it holds enough gas for all 25 shots I am fine with it.

Other than threads matching up I can't see too much problem in dimensions so what do you guys think? Is it worth it to do this? I am open to other suggestions if none of these work. All this is in hopes that I won't have to buy a $35 mag before shipping and still be missing a cap for one of them anyway. Thanks for any help you provide.

No responses? Well I guess the universal caps aren't that expensive. I can give it a try, if it works at least I can share it for those in the future. Still open to any thoughts on the matter, even if its just to bounce ideas off of.

If anyone is still interested in this, I tried my DIY methods with limited success. The piece of threaded pipe I had worked but with limited success in that it works only when perfectly placed, otherwise it gets difficult to screw the piece into place far enough into the magazine to pierce the co2 bulb.

In retrospect PVC would likely be a better fit if the proper fitment was found.

But why do that when the universal thread cap is spot on for what you want to do! May even be higher quality than the ones it came with. Link below, hopefully this leads to less mags becoming paper weights.
