I have a couple questions on wether or not my gun needs any upgrades for a lip battery. So i have the CYMA RPK. And the ROF, isn't too good. So i've looked into a lipo. It's a v2 gearbox and high torque motor. But i was wondering if it's compatible with a 9.6v lipo

Is the AOE adjusted? Do you have a mosfet installed? Have you considered changing to a lower gear ratio?

There is no such thing as a 9,6v li-po, the closest thing would be a 3 cell li-fe battery. To run an 11,1v li-po reliably you'll at the very minimum have to overhaul the gearbox. That means correcting AOE, gluing the bushings, replacing any plastic or oil groove bushings, re-shim, re-lube. Upgrading the wiring with Deans or XT60 connectors and a mosfet unit is also a good idea.
