Hi, I'm 14 years old and I've been thinking that I want to join the Marines. I want to get a Masters degree in engineering(not sure what kind) and hopefully go to OCS. I was thinking I would get input from some Marines or any officers that were in the Marines on this thread.
Edit: After hopefully retiring I'd love to teach ROTC.

Yes couldn't find it. Marines are cool. Just not as cool as Rangers.

When you get a little older look at NROTC Marine Option Scholarships. The US government will quite literally pay you to go to college, cover tuition, and afterwords you will go to OCS and become a marine officer

I already am thinking about it. They said if your smart enough and care about the military then it's fairly easy to get one.

Not to smash the marines but its pretty easy to be academically qualified for ROTC just make sure you're in top physical shape there's a reason people say M. A. R. I. N E. muscles are required intelligence not essential. But that may just be the army side of me talking...

Don't have to be smart necessarily just have a good work ethic and like math. There are plenty of small easy to get into schools with engineering programs.

Trying to go to West Point Actually! Submitted my app two days ago haha. Marine Corps ROTC is my second choice though. I come from a family of Marines so I'm kindof the black sheep of the family
