I just saw the new Red Dawn and saw a tec 9. I was wondering if anyone made a gas version. If not, I want to build one.Wikipedia.com/tec9

IIRC Maruzen used to. You can still find them on Craigslist and eBay but they're not very cheap.

See what happens when questions aren't specific. "It" is too relative to the reader. That can cause many different interpretations. I'll see what google can turn up.

Of course it's full auto. Why would it not be?

Yes, and it would be nice to have a reference as to what gun was used in a movie, so that we can pick out the best airsoft replica to mimic it.

by saying the gun the guy was holding in that one battle scene doesnt help. that and many weapons look similar. Your Tec9 is luckily unique enough we know what it is but "that M4" is general. its a good tool to use. I wish there was an accessories diagram to go with it though... Got anything for that Knief?

Sadly, no. I think that is even too much depth for most people. Luckily, they provide a lot of great screen shots from the movies, so picking out the accessories isn't terribly difficult. For example:

Do you mean an m4 accessories diagram? I have one of those, I use it to decide what to buy for mine.

No, he was explaining to Kodiak why imfdb is a useful resource to have in this thread. He was using a hypothetical question about an M4 as an example.
