I have an Elite Force 1911A1 and when I attempt to screw in the CO2 cartridge, the CO2 spills out in a cloud of freeze. I have tried using different brand cartridges, but that didn't help at all.

Are you getting the cartridge all the way in? If they are, it's most likely your air seals. You may have broken O rings or some other problem.

I'm putting it in as far as I can. It still decides to shoot out.

    Must. Not. Make. Joke......

It's most likely your o-rings have dried out. send some silicon oil in there and see if that helps at all.

where is the co2 pouring out from? depending on where it could be am internal seal or it could be your release valve...

I'm all out of CO2 now, so I'll have to see where it comes out later.

On the optimistic side, you now have a smoke grenade!

    Lawl.

Protection, if I remember correctly, it comes of of the cartridge itself and not the release hole.

It's your air seals then. Try getting some silicone on tgose o rings.

Here's where it gets really disappointing. I don't know where the o-rings are. All I can see is the valve where you insert the cartridge.
