How much would you estimate it to cost to get some of the harder stuff done by a mechanic? Like the hopup shiming because I don't know how to do a lot of that stuff?
Hop arm shimming is probably the easiest thing to do aside from the teflon tape over barrel. There might be some MI techs on the forums, I'm not sure. I would assume rates vary

Airpads were basically a sorbo pad 2.0 if you will. Sorbo pads are used to cushion the piston head in high ROF or FPS builds. Neoprene pads are tougher than sorbo which is why they are usually glued on top of the sorbo pad to prevent it from getting shredded. Airpads were "better" than sorbo or neoprene because airpads didn't have a memory effect and had comparable if not better durability than a sorbo/neoprene assembly. I actually found some at this website, seems to be the only place carrying them:

@aotsukisho are airpads worth the hype? Was thinking of getting one for fun in a DSG build.

From a 12"x12" sheet you could make 144 (easy), charge 1.00 less and still clear 8X start-up costs...

Ok I'll try it, I new it would/should work fine out of the box just wanted some advice. I'm probably gonna order it at the end of September and take it to a game a friend will be hosting at his house. That will most likely be it's first game. But right now I'm still in recovery from an accident that happened while I was camping and I think I will be able to walk like normal by then. Thanks for the advice guys I will keep you posted

Get the AEG that looks good to you. All else does not matter at this time.

Then play a LOT and at that point start modding it to your play style.
