First off I am not looking for any specific impression, although I would be interested to hear what impression would work here. I run a Aug A3 and sometimes an Echo 1 M16 JP 04.
I am looking at the equipment below, would like to hear suggestions, thanks.

Honestly, those two vests are two of the worst vests on the market. Everything about them--design, material quality, construction quality--is terrible. I can't really explain in words just how bad these vests are. Also, neither looks remotely like anything that any military unit uses. Their designs are just so far off of anything functional that they don't even resemble usable gear.

I'm more than happy to help you pick out a quality rig that fits your needs if you'd like. I'll need to know things like your budget, what all you want to carry, and any other information you might want to share.

That's not really better. It resembles a vest that the Army used to use (never in OD), but quality is still very low. It's also an incredibly bulky vest that will do more to slow you down and overheat you than anything else. And more importantly, for the same money, you could get a vest that's infinitely better.

When it comes down to it, Evike is the wrong place to look for gear. They don't really carry anything worthwhile. Like I said, I really don't mind guiding you through the world of gear, I do it all the time here. I just need you to be willing and the information I mentioned before.

If you want decent quality at a good price check out flyye or pantac. They are clones of actual manufactures that make gear for the military. If you willing to pour some more money look at eagle industries or london bridge tactical. For websites look at shootercbgear.com or airsoft-smith.com. If knief recommends something just listen he knows a lot about gear. He is basically the gear god of the forum.

Just fixed two little things in your post.

I'm also here to help if Knief isn't around at any given time and I am.

As Bob said, Flyye and Pantac are just about the lowest in quality that you should go. Yes, that sort of makes me a hypocrite (my current rig is TMC), but that is because I recognize the risks and was only planning on using it for ~1.5 months.

Thank you for correcting me, also a budget and what you play (cqb, or field) what role you are can help us help you find the perfect PC to suit your needs.

Now you're on to something. That's a great vest design made by a quality company. It's a reproduction of the Eagle Industries Plate Carrier (EPC), and used by the Rangers, among others. I've been using the EI version of that vest for about a year and it's fantastic. It'll fit you just fine. I'm 6' and about 175 and it fits me like a glove.

[edit] I figured I should include some pictures of what a set up with that vest could look like. This is what I've done:

Thanks Knieft, it really helps seeing someone wearing it as well, now go buy some gloves lol. I think I will pick the vest up.

I think he mean't a different pair of gloves. But why would he do that? A lot of operators use mechanix gloves and they are quite comfortable as well. That's what I use.

I know, that's why I said that he is wearing gloves. I just didn't want to explain. Does anybody haves couple of pictures on hand of operators wearing mechanix gloves?

That is why I had 'lol" afterwards. I figured that with all the nice equipment a pair of leather or other more tactical gloves would be appropriate. I use my old duty gloves, kevlar lined comes in nice in the briars.

There are tons of pictures out there, just look around. I have since switched gloves, though just to a different pair of Mechanix. I used the gloves pictured above while renovating my house and eventually wore through the fingers while laying hard wood floor. They'll stand up to combat, but 1300 square feet of red oak did them in. My favorite set of pictures of Mechanix comes from this ebay auction:

    There's something familiar about it:

It goes on. A lot of SOF use Mechanix because they're cheap, good, and plentiful.

Now those are more what I was thinking, I was joking about the fact that the gloves had white on black writing and really stood out. Knief I might have to order those gloves, and give my duty gloves a break.

Check out my edit above. I included some real shots of SOF using Mechanix for you.
