Hey I need some advice on my gun. Echo 1 ST6:http://www.airsoftgi.com/mobile/product_info.php?products_id=9957
I can either upgrade the gun it's self, or buy a new gun and build/modify. I would put a new RIS rail, lonex red piston, R-hop and shim and grease. Should I buy a new gun and upgrade, or just upgrade my current m4 with what I have listed + your advice? I will be in Chesapeake VA in a week or two so I could buy a gun from the store there. I know they sell g&p's. Thanks!

Edit: Budget is 200 for upgrades to Echo 1, and 450 to upgrade a new gun. My friend would like to buy my Echo 1.

Why can't you just use the $450 into upgrading the gun? How much would he buy it for?

He said he would give me $125. Im not sure I should keep it and upgrade it because it's echo 1.

Edit: Sorry, I meant to buy and upgrade a gun...

I'm sorry, to clarify: you have an offer of $125 on the ST6 and you can put $200 toward upgrades. But you can put a total of $450 to a new gun and it's upgrades. Am I correct?

Holy Guacamole! My vote is to the G&P with $300 worth of upgrades! Haha!

    I did not notice that......
    I guess I could spend 450 on a echo 1.

Edit. Just saw your posts. I'm guessing get the G&P and upgrade the snot out of it? What else could I do to it? Prom my gears and barrel, wire to deans, lipo's, upgraded hop up, R-hop?

Update: My dad told me to wait on getting a new gun for a couple months.....Untill we can start a club.... So....What should I do with my echo 1 m4? I am going to upgrade it, but I have decided to only spend $100 on the gun, not including a free floating rail system. Here is a list of the upgrades I have so far.
G&G green bucking,r hop, lonex red piston. That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm not going to wire it to deans for a few weeks. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

Do you want a high durability build? Or a high speed build?

Durability, and make the gun more accurate. I'll get a madbull barrel.

    For accuracy you will need...
-TBB (prommy 6.01 are the best, madbul 6.03 are pretty good for less money)
-Full metal hopup chamber (think the madbul ones are good)
-new hopup bucking (madbul blue or systema)
-R-hop, I am still researching this so someone else can better explain it to you
    For durability:
    -shim
    -AOE correction
-grease (white lithium grease works good I think)
    -Lonex A1 motor
-steel ball bearing spring guide will only help

A cheap little trick for accuracy is to wrap a layer of white Teflon tape around the inner barrel (like a candy cane) to stabilize it inside the outer barrel. It takes some of the vibration out of the inner barrel adding stability to the bb as it leaves the barrel.
