Ok so Im looking to get a new gun. An M4, but I want one that is reliable, not plastic, and has about 380 fps. I would like one with the CQB length barrel. My budget is about $230. So here are all of the things im looking for:

    380 FPS
    CQB Length Barrel
    Reliable
    NOT PLASTIC
    RIS/RAS

I have been looking but need other options, JG is plastic, and I have heard bad things about Javelin.

I would recommend a metal JG. They will run you about your budget, and while the metal and construction isn't say, G&P quality- it's metal and adequate nonetheless.

DBOYS m4s meet most of your criteria. May be shooting a bit hot, though.

Are you capable of tuning a gun? If so, they're fine. DBOYS is great internally.

Dboys makes some stellar guns! One of my teammates has a CQB one with RIS. Plus it is under your budget, which means you have money for upgrades.

This gun comes stock with one of the best stock ROF's out there.

I think DBoys is good for their scar, but honestly for an M4 I'd go ICS or JG.

You could just get an RIS system for a JG you know.

Agreed,,,,,ICS sportline. Except he doesn't want plastic body.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/mobile/product_info.php?products_id=6796 Polymer really isn't plastic. It's more on the durability side of the metal. Pot metal and polymer both are about equal.

No, polymer is plastic. It might not be what you assosiciate with it, but they use polymer as a term to make things sound... Not plastic. It's the feel, pot metal is going to scratch and whatnot more, while polymer (plastic) is lighter, cheaper and has about the same breaking point depending on the quality of the polymer and pot metal. People like heavier guns, though.

You can get some great used guns on Craigslist. I got myself a Bravo RDW M4 style cqb rifle for $140 with a bunch of accessories (laser, single point bungee sling, extra mags, battery, smart charger, etc.). Just keep a lookout and make offers you're comfortable with.

I know its a plastic. Polymer is a broad term.

Plastic is a polymer. Please refrain from calling what gun parts are made from polymer. That can be a whole host of things ranging from plastics to spider webs....
