For a while now, all we had for stocks with decent battery space was the PTS stock. Even the PTS stock's battery space is not great. I cut the inside of all my PTS stocks to allow a RC brick-style lipo to fit. Airsoft nunchuck batteries are inferior to cheap amazon brick lipo packs. The battery is often overlooked when building an airsoft gun. Builds like: 12:1, M120, 16TPA motor, PDW stock with a 1000mAh battery,... Then, "Why is my battery puffing up?" Barra Airgun released an AEG .177 bb gun, first of its kind. It is pretty much just a V2 M4 with a different barrel. It mostly uses standard AEG parts. Anyway, they recommend a 2200mah 11.1v lipo. They made a stock to accommodate such a battery. This is a quick overview with some photos. I did not put quite as much effort into this post, sorry.

Stock looks decent, from this side anyway, more on that later. Very similar profile to the PTS stock. QD sling attachments and sling loop.

The stock is made with some form of glass fiber reinforcements. Not sure if it is PA66 GF30/25/15, no markings. Construction quality seems to be fine. It does not feel "cheap" or like it is going to break. It has the same amount of "play" on a buffer tube that the PTS has.

Two of the biggest issues I can see people having are the mold marks on one side and the butt plate width. The Barra butt plate is 55.5 mm at its widest point. I personally don't find it uncomfortable, and I'm pretty lanky. The mold marks don't bother me too much, although I was thinking about stippling part of the stock to hide most of the mold marks. I could also smooth it and media blast it in order to paint it with some KG GunKote. I will probably order a few more and try a few things. The most appealing part about this stock is the price. It costs $25, and to me, that is a no-brainer.

As you can see, there is plenty of room for a brick lipo battery. The bottom is the shallowest and narrowest, so that is where I took the measurements. The height is about 137mm, but I wouldn't call it entirely usable. I would say around 120mm would be fine. The battery pictured is 106 mm tall. It's a cheap Amazon lipo that I got for around $17 or something similar. They have various brands of 2200mAh 11.1V lipo batteries that are all similar in size, price, and quality. This one says 80C but had an IR of 2.6 milliohms, so around 30C realistically.

So with the PTS stock, I had to cut the inside to get a battery like this to fit. That meant I had to have the stock fully extended or cut the buffer tube to the length I wanted. The Barra stock is not an issue when it comes to battery storage. Overall, I call it a win. Although appearances are subjective, the functionality is excellent. If you have any other specific questions about the stock, just ask. Barra Airgun's website is where you can order one for $25.

Field report would be interesting here. Attractive price point but that flat/squared butt plate doesn't look like it'd do you any favors - whole gun will ride up on the corner instead of rolling in your shoulder like the PTS. Then again I'm a filthy CQB player who prefs thin stocks (magpul BSL atm) so maybe it's something you can live with outdoors
Yea, I might print a new butt cap on my Saturn. Will make the stock slightly longer to account for a taper. I could print an adapter so that the PTS end cap will work on this stock. I don't find it to bad honestly. If it were a real gun, it might be an issue though.

Nah, only the huge 7.4v 50C 5000mah brick that i use for my big Arrma RC truck goes that low. It's still miles better than most airsoft brand lipos and its barely bigger than a matchbox.
I am thinking about getting every airsoft lipo and cheap amazon battery to test and make a reference chart of actual specs. Just don't know if it would be worth the money. Feels hopeless when people wont even believe you when you tell them Titan ion packs are trash. It is so easy to con people, but darn near impossible to convince people that they have been conned. I find it fascinating from a physiological standpoint.
