I have taken apart and fixed multiple guns and am familiar to the parts of a gearbox. However, I have never ordered and put in new parts. I have a G36CV by Umarex and S&T and am unsure of exactly what to do to it to decrease the FPS (to around 330 fps) and increase the ROF (to about 30-35 rounds per second). I would like new gears (looking at King Arms), a new motor (looking at lonex), a new piston (looking at SHS), a new piston head, cylinder head, spring guide, and air nozzle. The most difficult part is that I am trying to find all of these parts on the fewest amount of sites possible. I am also unsure of if I will need a new gearbox entirely since the stock gearbox is made for EBB, but I have disabled it. Any suggestions?

I could run the batteries to a PEQ box or my stock, but don't know which PEQ boxes they would fit in.

Thanks for your time and input. I have used both of these sites before and know that they are reliable.

You'll need to look up Short Stroke mods, as 30+ RPS with an M100 is going to be on the edge of Premature Engagement without proper tuning and part selection. Also, look around at some of the other airsofter-recommended RC shops for cheaper/better LiPo batteries. I like Hobbypartz.com and Cheapbatterypacks.com.

Replace the KA gears with a set of Lonex or SHS gears, definitely go for the Lonex A2 motor. I have had 2 KA infinite torque up motors, I've replaced both with Lonex A2's. Lonex A2's are a bit slower, but alot more efficient, runs cooler and a bit more quiet. That nozzle won't work with that cylinder head, it's a bore-up nozzle. I would just get a Lonex cylinder head and nozzle. The other parts are good. If you wanna get 30+ rps with a 7.4v li-po you'll either need a ridiculously fast motor or combine the KA motor with 13:1 gears. That combo will draw alot of current though. If I were you I would get a basic mosfet unit and an11.1v li-po, then you'll get 30-35 rps with the Lonex A2 and high speed gears.

I agree with the guy above me, definitely buy your batteries from a hobby store, you'll get alot more bang for the buck.

The KA gears are rebranded SHS so if you can't find SHS in stock just pick those up.

He still shouldn't use them, they are helical gears, and I am aware that KA gears are rebranded SHS gears.

Is an SHS high torque as good as a Lonex infinite torque?

    Sorry about the double post.

I have heard that both shs and lonex good for dsg setups, the shs are almost $20 cheaper.

They are very different motors actually. The Lonex A2 (infinite torque) is slower but alot more efficent with tons of torque. The SHS high torque is faster and draws more current, but is a very strong motor.

Which would be better for a 30-40 rof setup then, it seems to be between the two? Thanks for your help.

I would definitely get a Lonex A1 or A2 myself, Lonex motors are simply better engineered. They cost a bit more than SHS or Element motors, but are still half the price of a Systema or G&P neo motor and will easily rival their performance. I love my A2 motors to bits, they are just so damn efficient and the torque is just beastly. A Lonex A1 with 16:1 gears should put you at 35rps, maybe high 30's if you run it with a good 11.1v li-po. I'm getting 32 rps with a Lonex A2 and Lonex 16:1 gears pulling an M120 spring and powered by a Turnigy 11.1v 40C 1400mAh li-po. In my AK i'm getting 29rps with a similar setup only with 18:1 gears instead.

To sum up my blabbering: The Lonex A1 with 16:1 gears and a high discharge 11.1v li-po (30A+) will be perfect for your build. It will put the ROF right on target, have good efficiency and instantaneous trigger response.
