I couldn't find a thread dedicated to flashlights so I decided to start one.

I use a surefire E2e flashlight in a tdiarms mount.

I plan on getting a brighter flashlight just because 60 lumens just doesn't seem to do it for me.

Looks sorta goofy with an itty bitty flashlight in a big mount.

No piks but I used a supposedly "indestructible" flashlight in a scope mount with long screws.

I just got a Cree C8 tactical flashlight. It came with 3 different mounting systems, two different ways to turn it on (standard rear click button and a real plate with a long cord with a button on the end).

The flashlight comes with a strobe effect. :D

Ya what marine said, in fact I think 300 lumens is overkill.

425 shined directly in someones face is enough to blind them temporarily. People underestimate Lumen ratings.

Do you think 300 would be too much? That's the rating for the flash light I posted.
What would be a nice lumen rating that will only blind someone while looking into the beam?

Sort of, but mine cost less, and came with more.

    Mine came with:
    -flashlight to barrel mount
    -flashlight to weaver rail mount
-flashlight to some other thing mount
    -1 rechargeable battery for it
    -standard button on/off switch
    -corded pressure on/off switch

I got it for christmas. I game my mom a link to an ebay auction for it, and she said she was able to find a place where it retailed for $35 and bought it there instead.

As for brightness, it is incredibly bright. Especially the strobe effect, you cant see anything with that even at 20 feet away. Its a great flashlight for the money. The only con is that the flashlight has a large head, and thats just my personal opinion. It functions amazingly and is very sturdy.

I use a fenix TK15 flashlight I believe it is like 330 lumens has four brightness modes and a strobe mode I love the light the beam is focus so all the lumens go to the one spot.... When you pick up a flashlight it may have 400 lumens but if those lumens are not focused into one beam the flashlight may not be as blinding as a 300 lumens light focused in a beam. Just some helpful advice

I use a Fenix tk21 Its the 15's big brother. Its either in my off hand while I am using a pistol, or its placed somewhere for its strobe and illumination. Its damn evil in a dark hallway. :D

As far as weapon mounted I have a ultrafire 150 lumen model, it does its job.

    I found a flashlight on dealextreme.com with 800 lumens! Only about $15!
