    The Story:
Late October of 2012, a nuclear reactor facility in Russia suffered a severe meltdown at around 5pm. The causes of this meltdown were unknown at the time. The towns and cities around the area had been evacuated in the case of a massive radiation leak. Reports of a faulty cooling system were surfacing during the investigation. The Russian government had ruled the meltdown a unlucky accident due to a faulty and old cooling system. A few days later, evidence was found around the facility of tamperin
g of machine equipment and computers. As further investigations took place, it was found that some very valuable and secret information was stolen just hours before the meltdown. It was also believed that a small portion of radioactive material was taken from the reactor facility. Although the reports were unconfirmed at that time, the Russian government called for U.S. support soon after the reports came in.

In November of 2012, small deployments of U.S. Rangers were sent to a remote area of Russia. Their mission was to evaluate the situation of a nuclear meltdown in a nuclear reactor facility not too far from the small remote town in which they were deployed to. Reports of terrorist cells in the area made the Ranger teams more cautious as they patrolled the nearby wooded areas for any sign of terrorist activities. As further reports of the nuclear meltdown surfaced, the incident turned from a very unlucky accident into confirmed reports of terrorist caused meltdowns. Their aim was soon realized by the President that terrorist cells from the country of Chechnya have targeted the nuclear reactors in order to obtain nuclear material for the creation of dirty bombs which they plan on testing in the nearby cities. The first on their list was the small town in which the U.S. Rangers have been stationed.

As time began to run out a small squad of Rangers were sent in via helicopter to an unknown area to scout any terrorist activities. As they flew over the wooded area they were picked up on small radar station that the terrorist cell had placed around their forward base of operations. The chopper was shot down by a terrorist RPG and spun out of control, landing about half a mile from the terrorists’ forward operation base. Now not only is this a terrorist and nuclear bomb threat, but it has become a rescue mission as well.

    Rangers:
It is the Rangers’ job to assess the situation of the nuclear bomb threat. They are to find and recover three separate dirty bombs hidden around the small town and surrounding forest. If the bombs are not recovered then the terrorists will be able to set one off in the small town near the reactor facility. Rangers may use any force necessary to get the job done. While they dispose of the bombs they must also clear out small pockets of suspected terrorist activity and gather any Intel of where the bombs could be hidden. They also need to find out any information they can about the chopper and where it crash landed. If there are any survivors they must extract them to their small base and dispose of the remains of the chopper if necessary. If the terrorists are able to capture any survivor the Rangers’ must follow them to this base and try to retrieve the said survivor(s) at all costs. Then you are to hold a position for a set time and wait for evacuation of the Rangers deployed. Leave no survivors.

    OpFor (Terrorist Cell):
It is the terrorists’ job to hold back the Rangers’ advance in order to recover the bombs they have hidden and keep the Rangers’ from obtaining any type of Intel. They must recover at least one bomb in order to place it into the small town in which the Rangers’ are stationed. If the bomb is successfully planted they must defend it until the timer goes off on the bomb. They must also try to secure the crashed helicopter and capture any survivors for interrogation. If the Rangers’ are able to retrieve all the bombs before the terrorists are able to then it becomes a fire fight until either the Rangers’ or the terrorist cells are killed off. Lastly you must try to overrun the Rangers as they hold a random position and wait for evacuation. Make sure no one leaves alive.

    The way the game works:
The game will be set up by times for certain objectives to take place. This will give each side the chance to rearm and plan out their next strategy before the next objective starts. If a team runs out of time for their specific objective then they are unable to gain the full points they would have gotten. When time is called all the objectives completed in that time will be counted. If a team is able to finish an objective under the time limit all those points will be theirs. The game is set up so when certain teams complete certain objectives it affects the whole rest of the game and its objectives. Yes, that means there are multiple scenarios that can take place depending on the completion of each teams’ objectives.

    Scoring:
This is a game with multiple objectives. And as such it will be scored by the objective completed by each side. There will be bonus points awarded to teams who can complete each task in either a certain time limit or by meeting certain requirements labeled on the score sheets. The overall winner of this event will be the team with the most points at the end of the game. When time is called on each objective then the completed objectives will be counted to each side’s total. Make sure to complete those objectives!
