Well, what sort of paint job are you planning on putting on it?

Are the externals on the gun smooth plastic?

EDIT: By the way, IMHO that combination won't look... Just my opinion though...

Do you want paint job ideas or walk throughs? PM me.
I was severely sniped. If its smooth, you are going to have to sand it. Still, pm me.

It has a metal slide and barrel, and there are engravings

On spring pistols the grips usually come off. So take off the grips, spray the body silver and the grips tan. Just forewarning, DIY paint jobs usually look like crap IMO.

Ok, if the slide was plastic you'd probably have to sand it down to get the paint to stick. But, since it's metal you should be fine.

EDIT: as for the grips, you can just spray paint them.

I don't think the style you are going for will look that great. Is the metal very smooth? The paint would scratch right off.

Engravings won't really be a issue. But we will just continue our chat through pm, so I will stop posting here.

There's a rule against double posting.

Yes it should be fine. Although it will scratch very easily.

    ^what they said^

Unless the metal is rough, the paint won't stick very well.
