The Official Post Your Last Purchase Thread

Thats right, post what you last bought. Airsoft, or non-airsoft, post or pics, it doesn't matter.

Huh—I bought one just last month. They may be sold out, or they may be using the barrels for something now.

I’ve heard a lot of dubious things about Prommy barrels in general, so I’ll be interested to see what you think.
I broke down the other day and ordered a Cyma XM-177 E2 and 8 more of the short mags.

Ooh, you got on that Prommy BC sale. I’ll be interested to hear if those are any good. I managed to resist that one, but I did find a PDI on sale for $10 that may be posted here soon…

I’m relatively familiar with the steel Prometheus barrels, but the brass seems to have a bit of a different design.
Just ordered some AS patches from @-Spitfire-, I will definitely post some pics when they get in. I need to order some flexible filaments, but every time I go to it's like I fall down a deep rabbit hole and can't decide which type or brand to get. Let's just say I need it to test some different hopup ideas.

I've yet to try a steel Prometheus, but the person who I saw talk about their brass one rated it incredibly highly, better than Lambda as I recall.

For $20 at the time of purchase I figure I can't go wrong really, as I was simply after a Krytac barrel. I'll maybe do a thread on comparing things when I've used it a while.

I did do a double check, and the Krytac barrel are still in stock for everything except 155mm. Either way, for $20 it’s worth a try. I’ll await your thread, SS.

Regardless of any arbitrary rating, the reason that prommy is objectively worse is due to PDI, Lambda, and EdGI all having notably better bore quality. Lambda has very similar bore quality to PDI, due to their shared lineage, but Lambda has the advantage of a superior barrel window design. EdGI needs no introduction.

That said, none of the above brands are bad, and all should give you anything from good to exemplary results when paired with the right bucking, nub, and hopup unit.
Well I was told that the Prometheus brass was a lot nicer than the Prometheus steel, but I'll figure out next week when that molasses chugging silly billy Evike ships my gear.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was, brass is superior to steel for inner barrels in every area except durability.

I ordered two of each style, white and off white. Definitely going straight on my PC and rifle bag! I'll be flying the colors at the milsim in July.

Just picked up a ~1957 MGA 1500, rusty and crusty but pretty solid for how long it's been sitting (~30yrs). RIP my airsoft budget for like, at least the next few months :ROFLMAO:

Oh, come on……you can’t show us what‘s left of the front end? Also, I would like to see the progression photos. And what happened with the Mustang?

looks like a cool car. Resto/mod?
What, my butt pic not good enough for you? :sneaky:

Found in a half collapsed barn, abandoned for ~30 years and at some point a tree fell on the structure which took out half the roof. Place looks one good storm away from pancaking, pure luck this car was on the dry side and didn't get crumpled. Super crusty but everything appears pretty solid - lot of surface rust but no holes I've found so far. Headlight buckets, trim, etc, all in the trunk. Get this - car has wooden floor boards! Came from the factory that way, pretty wild. Bumpers are missing but I'm planning on going back and poking around the barn, probably tucked away somewhere. Plan to restore it, keep it mostly origional with just a few small changes for safety/convenience. Seatbelts, supercharger, etc.

Mustang has several grand in parts stacked up around it including all sheetmetal bits and some go fast stuff, impatiently waiting on good weather - been to dang cold around here to be busting my knuckles. I'll be focusing on it this spring and trying not to get distracted by the MGA but ... it's pretty distracting.

I’ll say…I’m only sort of jealous. Have fun with the Lucas electronics(Lucas is the devil). I’ve discovered with my Vintage moto stuff, that I’m more of an appreciator than a restorer. I would love to take a car like that, get the body/chasis done, and resto mod it with an electric motor and disc brakes all around. Then again……I do build HPA guns…. :devilish:

It does definitely look straight and complete in the photos! I really am excited for you! Definitely keep me/us posted on these cool projects…

That'd be awesome with a rotary engine and ceramic brakes, and maybe some carbon fiber. Don't forget a Huracan style exhaust, absolutely necessary.

I miss driving rotaries, both of my current vehicles redline at 6k lol

I use to have a 250cc v twin bike that redlined at 14500rpm….that little rocket was a blast…
Picked up one of those multi-piece outer barrel kits so I could get the front end of my current project exactly where I wanted it - got a 141mm inner in there, with the base and shortest extension it pokes just a bit into the KX3 but not enough to cause issues (can is a tracer, not an amplifier). Also picked up a new grip to try out this summer, King Arms TWS that comes with 3 different backstraps and two front ones. Material feels a bit soft and 'ABS' like rather than the fiber reinforced polyer I'm used to (PTS EPGc, etc) but I don't mind so long as it holds up. Grip panels seem to be staying put but won't know for sure until I get it in the field and really toss it around.

Tolerance stacking is a proper pain btw, everything's aftermarket / no base gun here - so freakin nothing lines up without special effort and grinding. 16:1 DSG on bushings, RA cz, Perun, and I'm testing one of those 20t 25k brushed motors with a cnc bell from T238 because it has the fan feature we saw on some Rocket motors a while back. Been mad curious to test that :)
