I recieved the Ares G36 in Evikes Box of awesomeness, I'm in the process of buying a 9.6v 1600mah nimh battery for it. But I tested it with my friends 8.4v 1200 mah battery and the gearbox sounded like it pulled back but the gun never shot, and on full auto it does that then nothing else. Any help?

Sounds like it's just that the battery is too weak or fried.

That, or the motors' a dud. My bets on battery though.

Battery's dead or way too weak.

Grab a 7.4v (high discharge) LiPo, and unlock your gearbox lol. Or... Grab a 11.1v lol, nvm, SRC doesn't like 11.1v battery xD

Your 9.6v battery will do the trick :)

Or... Use the 8.4v when it's "over-charged" right off the charger

You guys were right, it was the battery, it's just me being over paranoid. I'm buying a 7.4v 25c largest MAH I can fit lipo for it. Thanks :)

Just watch out with the 7.4c 25c lipo's.

Try to stay under 2200 mAh for the battery.

So you don't burn out the contacts on your SRC lol.

He says he has an ARES. I personally recommend a 1000000000 mah 25C 7s lipo so I can buy your externals once the gearbox implodes.

Haha, it does have pretty nice externals, Evike gave out quite a few of them in their latest BOA. So would the 3300 mah 7.4v 25c battery work?
