So I finally decided to upgrade the Cyma cm028 lying around in my basement.

First off, the wiring had no motor tabs and was running with a tamaya.

So I soldered on deans and motor tabs.

Next, I found a random assortment of 7mm bushings that I found lying around.

Then I lubed the gearbox with white lithium grease

Shimmed and installed Shs 16:1 gears

Proceeded to mess around with different pistons and the stock one worked the best.

I'm using an Shs high speed motor in it.

Now, here is it with all that installed ^

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TALPJzPCKck[/ame]

The stock air nozzle gives an awful air leak and therefore needs to go.

I don't like having a random assortment of bushings so they need to go.

The spring is very low power and needs to go. It isn't the stock spring, and it has to be under m100. I can easily compress it in my fist and it's awful.

So, in the mail I have coming:

Shs aluminum air nozzle with o-ring (ak)

    Shs m110 spring

    Shs 7mm bushings

With all that installed I hopefully will get the gun shooting what I want it to.

Right now the aoe is stock and i'd like to change that.

Also, I'm only running with 7.4 lipos until I get a DE MOSFET which is on my things to buy list.

After the MOSFET is installed I'll be running a 20c 3000 mah 11.1 lipo.

Tell me what you think :)

You seem pretty much set to me. You could also go 16awg wiring that will give you some more rof and trigger response. Other than that AoE like you said if you want a new piston go for it ,but I dont see that as a Nessesity. Nice job:)

I would say to get a Guarder spring instead but you already ordered the SHS.

I popped in an m120-m125 spring from my m16 and the Shs motor easily pulls it and Maintains a nice rate of fire.

One thing that I've learned is, I never want to go back to m4s.

Aks Ftw! The v3 gearbox has an awesome spring guide, the trigger is easy to install and doesn't pop out, and I love the convenience of having the motor be able to screw onto the gearbox just like that.

The only thing that bothers me is that my g36 spring guide has no hole in it....

Oh I know! I hated that with my g36

    Edit:

Wow god hates me and machines.

I get an Airsoft gun working! Yay!

*my laptops hard drive crashes and my laptop wont start up"

    Seriously?

What about barrel and Hop-Up mods?

The other horrible thing is getting the g36 back into the pistol grip.

Okay the g36 wasn't working out well for me. I'm using the g36s parts in this.

When I first got the gun (in a trade) the hop up was awful. I really have no experience with ak hop ups but that's why I'm learning.

I have a systema bucking which I will use.

Im planning on installing a 6.03 barrel 509mm and cover it with a nice mock suppressor. We'll see :)

For now I'm keeping the stock barrel.

There's only so much I can do when waiting for parts.

    I installed the systema bucking.

    Cleaned the barrel

    Cleaned the gearbox out.

I can't shim until the new bushings come.

Even though I ordered the m110 I'd like to stick with this m125 spring.

I know I'm missing a couple screws to put the full thing back together :(

So I think I'm installing the spring for the trigger wrong. It isn't like the g36? Could someone please tell me the difference?

    Just an update:

I really didn't like the performance I was getting so Ive spent hours shimming and it still doesn't seem PERFECT to me. The motor doesn't hear up but the motor connectors are hot after firing it, is that okay?

I will post a video and pictures tomorrow but this sector gear/piston contact is PERFECT:

I know aoe isn't but the shimmed sector gear meshes perfectly with the piston.

Why are your bushings not glued in place?! And yes, that AOE needs to be corrected, it's way off.

I know that the trigger in my ak was a royal pain in the arse. The trigger spring should have one side that sticks out and bends at a 90 degree angle, and the other side just sticks out. The bent side goes around your trigger, and the center of the spring sits on a little post. You can't just drop the spring in, you will have to put some tension on it to get it in properly.

At least, this is the way it was in my ak.

I ran out of super glue, but could someone tell me the benefits of gluing bushings in?

I haven't corrected aoe yet because my rubber washers are too thick and it won't work right (and I'm out of super glue)

If the bushings rotate in the holes in the shell, they'll wear the holes bigger. Then the distances between the gear shafts will change and be unstable, eventually it will ruin the gears. You'll also have to either drill the holes slightly larger and fit larger bushings or buy a new shell to fix it. Strong thread lock, the permanent type, holds up much better than superglue in my experience.

Here's a video of the shimming with a 7.4 lipo. It sounds off. I can't tell though, there is no grinding whatsoever, is it too tight? I will post pictures of motor height, and other stuff soon.

Sounds pretty good. AEG's always sound more whiny and screechy on video. If it sounds good, it most likely is good.

    Edit:

First picture is of the motor height,

Second picture is of the stock aoe

Third picture is the IDEAL aoe with rubber washer:

Fourth picture is why i can't adjust the aoe, this is the actual aoe with rubber washer
