Propane instead of Green Gas

Quick question:

I want to use propane instead of Green Gas for my pistol and was wondering.

I did buy the adapter for the propane cylinders but had a question about the silicone oil. Do you put it in the cap before you twist it onto the cylinder? how long should i press the nozzle into the clip for (M9 Pistol clip size), and finally, for the oil, can i buy a spray silicone oil and just spray it into a bottle for it to become liquidy and use it in the adapter that way?

You should use silicone oil that is liquid, not in a spray can. For a pistol mag I usually fill for around 5 seconds.

It probably won't, I even have honestly squirted some silicone in my propane tanks a couple times. I wouldnt worry too much about it, but using oil would be the best in my opinion.

ok thanks, and do you know if Liquid Wrench penetrating oil is silicone, or Tri-Flo oil?

Usually the oils at home depot, walmart, etc. are not "100%" silicone, they have petroleum in them which shouldn't be used for airsoft guns because they can destroy the rubber parts. Anyway, I'd reccomend this: CA Silicone Spray 450ml by: Classic Army - Airsoft GI - Welcome to the Very high quality oil.

Alright well, ill order some of that, in the mean time ill just use the liquified stuff i have for now, it is in fact 100% silicone though

Yeah, 100% silicone can still translate to having petroleum in it. In fact, I have a can of Blaster "100% Silicone Lube" while it does still contain petroleum "petroleum distillate" (distilled petroleum)
