I have the TSD smart charger, and it didn't come with a mini connector. If I want to charge a mini type battery, do I need a small to large connector or a large to small connector?

-___- That's not what's important what's important is the male or female connectors, you would need a large female, to small male.

No I know the difference, I would need a female small tayima because the battery is a small male... Then it would be large male to connect the charger right? I'm confused...

Your battery has a male connector? Traditionally, batteries have female connectors to help prevent the leads from touching each other and shorting out the pack. It would be really strange for a battery to have a male connector unless you did it yourself for some reason.

What you need is an adaptor that has a small male connector and a large female connector like this one:

Take a look at what connector your charger has and what connector your battery has just to be sure, but that should be right.

If, for some reason, you gun is wired with a female connector on the gun and a male connector on the battery, you would want this:

And if your charger is weird, you might have to make your own adaptor using a small and a large male connector or a small and a large female connector. You can buy those all over the internet.

Wait I'm not home actually, I'm on vacation. I thought my battery was the male but I don't remember. I have the Intellect 9.6V 1600mah butterfly type battery. Although I looked it up on evike and it showed a female.. I could've sworn I had a male type.

Alright thanks guys, and knief, what brand NiMh battery would you reccomend? I know deans is most likely the better option, but I heard it tears down the gears faster. And I also know that alot of batteries are rebranded from other company's.

Uh you can have deans on an Nimh battery, and uh for brand Intellect is pretty good stuff, even though the question wasn't directed towards me.
