Just a quick follow up.
Fielded the UTR45 today and it worked good. No issues.
I was trying some new BBs too. BLS tracers. They worked good. Brighter than the EF Tracers I was using previously.
I may swap from a 60* Macaron to a 70* Macaron. It seems like I can't get a sweet spot between too much hop or too little. My thinking is the harder rubber will be less sensitive for each click of the hop adjustment.

Yep. But I did notice similar issues with the EF bbs as well.
I'll probably stick with the BLS and EF for the time being. They both shoot great in all my guns.

The MP5 drum mag with UTR45 adapter was working flawlessly this last weekend. No feeding issues.
The gun is sounding snappy too!!!!

What hop unit are you using? You could switch to one without clicks, so you can perfectly adjust… but that would be a pain since everything else is working out for you.

A harder rubber probably won’t change the difference in hop between clicks, but it might shift your sweet spot around so it’s on a click, or very close.

You could also mod your unit to have softer clicks, or not at all…

I'm using the Krytac hop unit in this build. It actually has lots of fine click points.
I should probably give it a little more break in time. The rubber is brand new. I'm using the omega nub with it.
It really only effects me at long range. Even though I'm only playing indoors, there is potential for some really long shots, as the place is huge.
I'm a little reluctant to fool with it too much, as the gun is working so good right now.

I really enjoy troubleshooting issues with mechanical things. It's pretty much what I do all day at my 9-5.
But, being an airsoft newb, it's taking me a bit to catch on to all this stuff.
I still have a lot to learn, but feel like I'm catching on pretty quick.
It's great to have the brain trust here to help guide us all along with our issues.
