So, it's like a magnifier but a red dot?

You can just get a red dot and simply remove it when it runs out of battery.

Flip to side mount. You purchase it separately when you buy your sight.

There are none that flip out of the way when the battery dies. The magnifiers flip out of the way. You may be able to fit an aimpoint scope in a flip mount. It may be tight but the way red dots work is that your iron sights should be able to be used with the red dot installed. You should match your red dot to your iron sights so you can just flip them up and use them. The magnifiers mess with the sighting ability and iron sights so that's why those flip out of the way.
