Hey guys, little bit of a repair newbie but I dropped my KJW KP-17 pistol on its slide and two tiny little pieces broke off from the inside and I have no clue how they are oriented or how I could even repair it because they dont make the pistol anymore. Any help is appreciated and I will post pictures later. Thank you

Im not even sure what the significance of these little parts are and I am worried that I will not be able to find another slide for the gun since they dont make the KP-17 anymore. Only thing I can think of is a really strong cement or a WE slide since they are near identical

Pretty sure KJW still makes it... they just stopped importing it. Should be able to contact KJW directly and see if they have any OEM replacement parts available. If not, there are upgrade slides available.

Aftermarket parts:

Out of curiosity, does the pistol still work?

Thank you for your reply,
The pistol does technically still work It is just having really really bad problems getting the slide back into position and the slide stop has stopped working completely when trying to bring the slide into position

I would never take this into a game with me anymore since it barely works and hell if I can just glue the pieces back on I wouldn't mind giving it a shot

EDIT: Looking at the website you gave me, those are the parts for the G series of their pistols. i believe they had licensing issues and had to switch the name to the KP-17 instead of genuine glock names. They also appear to be different from the slide that came with the gun

I was afraid that was the case. Their response to the licensing issues was just to stop importing them. Pretty sure they always labeled it as the KP17 [@Guges Mk3 wanna weigh in? I'm not big on Glocks]. And the slides on that link are different from the stock slide because they are upgrade slides, not OEM slides [you need to contact KJW directly for OEM slides].

KP17 are going strong in Asia...heck I can even get them easily.

You can try the strongest CA you can find and glue those pieces back in. Not to sure on your skill level...but how did you get the slide to sit like that? Did you pull up after it was in battery?

Actually that position just occurs whenever I try to put the slide back on. It's like there is something else that is keeping it from locking in place.

That would be the slide release. You have to hold that down or the slide will ride over the top like that.

I tried something a bit risky but I sanded down those two little places where the plastic broke off a little bit and repositioned the guide rod and the slide sits in a perfect position now and works as normal. I think there was a bent piece of metal that got lodged near the trigger mechanism from the fall and I managed to get it out.
