...will it grow and take hold? Will Umarex "followers" take this as the Gospel and argue about it like the French with BAXS? Only time will tell.

Umarex in their "ignorence" is marketing their "pistols" with "shoot-up" technology.

"The adjustable shoot-up ensures an extremely stable trajectory for perfect accuracy."

"The heavy metal slide is visually impressive and brings the weight up to a hefty 650 g. Thanks to blowback and an adjustable shoot-up, you feel like you’re shooting the “real thing”."

Yes, it's an accurate description of what happens to the bb with too much dial in. But, let's give the credit where it's due...

Not sure "shoot up" is the best term they could have thought of. Sounds more appropriate to Heroin than airsoft.

To be clear here, they are describing a hopup?

Definitely sounds more appealing and technical than 'hopup', which sounds better than 'shoot-up'. Next we'll be hearing 'gun-shoot' technology.

    Fargging obstinate French...

But, it won't happen at Umarex...for that is a German company and they don't want to be sued by their stupid French Rivals. GSG however is in bed with Cybergun and walking around IWA in 2014 was interesting to see how cold they can be to each other.

I feel like the term "shoot-up" won't sell very well in the US for more or less obvious reasons. More the less, how would they pull that off? They gonna make a repair kit for the internals they are stressing even more?

Kinda sounds like a bad or literal translation.
