Hey guys, iv rebuilt a few V2 gear box's but this one has me stumped. Iv been in and out of it serval times but I can't find out why the single shot isent working. It's only shooting in full auto, even when it's selected for single. Any ideas?

I searched this first but the app only pulled up threads on springers.

That picture is worthless for diagnosing your issue. We need to see the cut off lever and selector plate.

Well from what I can see in the pictures every thing seems to be installed correctly. How high do you have your sector gear shimmed? What spring, ratio of gears, motor, battery are you using? Any short stroking? Does the cut off lever move freely? Is the cut off lever or sector gear worn in any way? Check your trigger contact shuttle and make sure nothing is hindering it.

Edit: On an unrelated note epoxy those bushings in.

Everything in this rifle is stock. It's a team mates rifle that broke the tamplet(spelling) plate, that I'm repairing. I don't know any of its specs. On the side note, everything looks fine to me, and ill glue them in.

Check for carbon build up on the trigger contacts and see if the stick when pushed together. Also check the strength selector plate/cut off lever spring and the trigger contact return spring.

Okay I'm bumping this. So I just got back on to this problem. I pulled the gear box back out and started looking at the selector plate, and noticed its missing something. It doesn't have the brass peace on it, nor the 2 contacts on the back of the trigger. Could this be why there is no single shot?

If the brass plate and contacts are missing, it shouldn't work at all.

However, I just went through this same issue with a customer gun and the solution was ridiculously simple. I replaced the tiny little spring that sits between the selector plate and the cut off lever. It was too weak to push the lever back down after the gears cycled. Try replacing this spring with something stronger. You should be able to find them at a local hardware store, my local ACE carries them, but Home Depot doesn't so try the smaller stores like ACE.

Good luck, if there are any more problems, let us know or PM me.

Okay, I have been through every inch of this gear box and nothing is fixing it. Is it possible that this gear box is built to built to be only fully auto???

I doubt it, but maybe if you took some video and still pictures I can help you with the diagnostic.

Actually that might be so yes. Because my G&P doesn't have them either, and it's semi-auto works fine.

okay i found and placed and much stronger selecter plate spring on it, and that feels like its going to fix it. But as i was cleaning the shell, i found this crack, is this going to be okay for now?

Many times a cracked gb does no harm. You'll want to use some Sorbothane, though, if you decide you don't need to replace the shell.
Also your semi auto problem is a perfect example of a worn cut off lever. I had that same problem, and replacing it fixed the situation nicely.

I replaced it all ready, and that didn't fix the problem.
