I know I should use all my battery before I recharge it with a wall charger but is it ok with a smart charger? I would think not but I want to know because after all it's a smart charger.

Yes you don't need to completely discharge your battery before plugging it into a smart charger.

However, after time this will "kill" your battery unless you discharge and then charge it. Standard NI-HM batteries have memory and if you charge it from half full or not fully discharged over time it will loose memory and hold less of a charge.

While I hear people saying that and don't misunderstand I do believe it, it has yet to happen to me, and I've been playing for a good 8-9 months

Ni-Cd batteries lose life quickly when they aren't completely discharged, while Ni-Mh give you you more room for mistakes, as their memory effect isn't as strong.

You should be fine. Just every now and then let your battery get low.

The reason I ask is because I used mine for 6 hours and it still have decent charge in it.
