KJW 10-22 is you best bet.
I would suggest getting an AEG or something, though. The 10-22 is great, but not a sniper rifle. You'll need upgrades and experience to be able to get a good sniper rifle and be able to hit something with it.

Buy a used KJW M700 and upgrade it. (Oh look I am selling one...)

Seriously though. They are wonderful guns.

A sniper would indicate a bolt action. A DMR would indicate a semi automatic rifle...

Here's an easy one to start off with. The Barret 50. cal.

    Also, the SVD.

The SR15 would be considered a DMR. Sniper Rifles generally use 7.62mm and larger.

A DMR you have to build. As of price wise ill let someone else answer that. But I'm going to say start with a good M16, and go from there.

You can buy a JG m16 and upgrade the crap out of it. Such as an R-hop, and new barrel for better accuracy. Although thats not really upgrading the crap out of it lol.

Well get a m16 of some sorts,Preferably a dboys m16a4.and your going to want trigger response so id go with shs 13:1 ratio gears, shs high torque motor,Mosfet,16 awg wiring, and deans connectors.Don't forget to do basic mods on your gun aswell not going to post it all its commen sense.Your also going to want range and accuracy so a 6.03 tbb barrel,Systema bucking,And rhop your barrel. And thats all i got off the top of my head for now.ill add more later.

I see a lot of people on here say to stay away from d boyz, so I would'ent recommend that. Go with a jg M16. There really user friendly also.

DBOYS have turned around lately. Their gearbox shells kick the hell out of JG shells. The gears are just as good as JG, the pistons are just as good, the piston heads are better than JG, the hop ups are better than JGs (not a two piece), the working bolt catch, the metal body (actually not bad), and the Tappet, selector plate, and trigger mech are made of decent material. The trigger mech also bypasses the selector plate contacts.

What about the CYMA M14's? I know its a DMR...but I have heard that they have great range and accuracy, I am considering one of those or one of their ak-47's.

a mate of mine has an AEG M14. he disabled the full auto so its single shot only- this is under $200

leaving $50 for gearbox upgrades (spring) and maybe a tight bore barrel.

    and $30 for a 2nd mag

or visa versa depending on what is more important to you.

iron sights are fine - in the long run look to buy a scope about $50 minimum
