I bought this JG AUG on Craigslist, and was wondering if you can help me identify the exact type, and some fixing options:

Is this missing block important? Also, they explained that the outer barrel "fell off". On this model, is it a glue hold or screw? Thanks.

Looks like a Cybergun, but it could be a JG.

Its a JG. My friend got one and it was the same box. But cybergun makes an aug?

I'm sure cybergun rebrands an AUG. However cybergun doesn't make guns only rebrands them.

That missing piece is used too attach the upper receiver to the lower receiver. Since that piece is gone you should be able to pull the receivers apart.

Also, wouldn't I need to unscrew this bolt?

If you want to remove the barrel from the upper receiver, yes. Unscrew and push down. If you want to separate the two receivers, no.

Actually I just found out its the safety, my take down lever is a little more towards the back.

Do you know of anything with the outer barrel?

There's a tiny little hex screw that screws the outerbarrel to the upper. You can find it right beside where the foregrip attaches. Also, when I say tiny screw, I mean tiny screw. I had to buy a new hex wrench to work with it. I have since lost said new hex wrench due to how tiny it truly is.

If you can't find it, I can go get a pic.

IIRC its like a 1.5mm hex screw... the other thing is your safety.

I'll have to take it to the shop and find parts. Where exactly does the screw go? I'm looking around for the whole and can't find it.

Nice, found it. Do I just pop out the pin for the grip?

New question, upgrade guide? It's shooting pretty low (275 fps w/ .2's) and I'd actually like to convert the barrel down for CQB. My goal is to have it shorter (have no idea what will work) and get to 330-340 fps for indoors. Thanks.

    1. Take the screw out to release outerbarrel.
    2. Remove outerbarrel.
    3. Measure new length.
    4. Buy proper madbull tightbore.
    5. Install.
    6.????
    7. Profit.

For GB reshim, regrease, AOE, and compression.
Only thing needing replaced is the piston.

Do you know of a shorter outer barrel I can use besides phantom? Also, 6.???? Lol. Would I need a new motor to support a new spring to reach 335 fps?

Is it any good?? I bought a JG AUG and it shot 10 feet then dropped. The hopup wasn't the problem it was something else. I can't quite remember. But still, is it good?
