So my laptop broke (something to do with the hard drive) and my dad took it to staples for a free diagnostic check. I have things on my computer I don't feel comfortable anyone knowing. Will staples people be nosy? I'm really nervous if they find things and tell my dad my computer is slow due to visiting websites or viewing material. Anybody every had staples tech supports help before?

If they find out your issue is due to a virus commonly downloaded from porn, then thats what they will say.

I have no experience with them but it could just come down to the employee. I'm sure most techs will be respectable and not creep on you. But if a virus is found due to porn then they'll say.

They will mention it. If you have siblings, depending on your parents, you can get away with it once.

I mostly use incognito, but there's the occasional clicking a link from a friend or something. I never really thought people would be going through my laptop so I didnt mind clearing history. It was password protected, funny story there. My password was jacobisgay because my friend Jacob was going through my computer at a friends house. My dad asked for the password and I'm like uh... Jacobisgay and it was funny lol

Well, I lucked out. The entire hard drive crashed. The staples guy told us one to buy and we are installing it. Phew.

Edit: I think I broke it by leaving my motor next to my laptop. Oops. (it's magnetic)

This is by far one of the most awkward, funny threads I've seen here. Just the underlying vibe of the OP and the blunt first response. Nice.
