Hello from Maryland!

I recently got into airsoft almost a year ago, as a hobby to do some backyard plinking. I've always loved guns, but couldn't justify spending the money on ammo, gear, etc. Airsoft is the only way I can hold an affordable AK-47 or M4 and shoot it in my backyard with my ten year old nephew, and have a lot of fun doing it too. Or, if I want, change it up to a bolt action sniper rifle, or even a pistol. Anyways, I've got quite the collection already, (getting a little addicted/ out of control lol), and have just now started to think about arena play, skirmishes, etc.

My collection consists of:
Krytac CRB MKII
Krytac PDW MKII
Cyma AKS-74U (CM045)
LCT AK-47 Pistol
Novritsch SSG24
2x TM G17
2x TM G18c
TM G22
2x TM G26
Poseidon P17

As you can see, I prefer to pay for quality. The CYMA is just a wall-hanger lol. I also love my TM Glocks. I have duplicates of each glock, that have never seen the shiny side of a BB. Those are for collection(or sale for the right price) Anyways, just here to introduce myself...cheers!

dang, that's a heck of an arsenal! I'm a very budget airsofter since I'm about to start medical school and have no money but I can still respect a quality gun collection. Now you just need a sweet gun wall, oh and to get out there and sling some bbs at people!

I am well aware of this lol, however, then I would just have one AK and a bunch of ammo. I live in a city so now I need to go spend at least $20 on a lane for half an hour of shooting. Oh yeah, now my nephew can't go either lol. I also loan some of the guns out to my nephew's friends when they play in the neighborhood...such a guilty pleasure of mine to shoot fully equipped kids with airsoft guns at range lol. I'll have some real steel one day, most likely a Glock for hd, but other than that I'm sticking to airsoft!

Oh i know you were just messin haha thank you for checking in! And you are right it is a very addicting, and potentially a very expensive hobby indeed. I love that I can sling BB's at my nephew although when we are on the same team I feel overly compelled to protect him rather than actually play the game at hand lol. I do have a great time playing around in the neighborhood with him and his friends tho. As far as real steel goes, I was actually very interested in the SR9C, I've shot it at the range a handful of times, and seems to be the handgun I most favor next to the Glock 19 when renting, but I can never seem to pull the trigger on the purchase! Maybe because Maryland makes you wait a week after paying for it before you can take it home...who knows. Anyhow, I appreciate the warm welcome, and if I have any more questions on the SR9C or an AR, I know who to ask!

thanks for stopping by, i appreciate the warm welcomes! imo there is nothing wrong with cyma at all lol i love my ak, it just doesnt perform near to the same level as my krytac. although i will say, my cyma is not so good after 3 or so mags...im sure its just a lemon tho. it also didnt cost near as much as my krytac, so it'll be a wall hanger 'till i can fix it.

My Friends Started to question my Habits when i purchased a Shed "Armory" to Store and work on my guns in,that was only a few hundred ft smaller than their apartment...and i still had two other smaller sheds as overflow,which were mostly filled.
They started to question my obsession with Power,Range & Rate oF Fire...and when they saw me building my Own Fill Station at home and cruising around with Bottles Strapped to my back..They really thought i was "Getting Pretty Deep" into it... i could hear side snickers an gossips of ..."oh he's filling his own tanks now,why does he need so much air,what is he doing with it..and why's he always wearing those stupid glasses..."

Finally they got together ...and Sat me Down For a Talk..
i LiStened to their Concerns..My only Response was the Rules of Engagement. A Dry "Put these On,Don't take them off" as i delivered each his own pair of ansi rated "stupid glasses"....
and Then... I showed them the Epiphany of my Addiction ...

And Gave them All Their First Hit...

Yes..The first Stage of Addiction is participation
Second is, Collection ..most are content here..but some ..some step it up..and or interchange..modification for collection (some might have 5 stock guns,vs a guy with just one,but lots of work put into it)

Once modification and Collection just ain't doing it for ya..You Start getting Weird...In Comes Gas Guns..Yeah Now You Can Feel It...But ..But the High is So Short..Its Like a Nice Coke . Acola in a well chilled bottle..bam you slam it,it feels good,it tastes good...but ..but now your still thirsty..you remember the coke you just had...but for some reason you feel like you want some more... So then You Start Modifying Your Collection..and Collecting Modifications..

And that only lasts So long..Then you Start Building some Good Ish..But to keep the Good Ish Going..You gotta Really Step up your Modification and Start Fabricating...An if your Good..then you can Fab Modify an Collect..But also Do a lil Fabricating for your friends $,Which in Turn Supports your M&C habit..

If you make it through those Stages..Then depending on wha kind of person you are..you can go a few different directions.. Whore'n out your M&F skills...Or Do a lil Street Work,or Open up shop on a Corner pushing your zinc Bodies to who eva's paying..Loading up kid's on the Block.

Or Some gO into Darker Places..They want ,better faster smarter...You start Messing with the Dark Side of Airsoft.... 8MM ... an (if your like me..) You Start Mixing a lil bit of this..With a lil Bit of That..and you Can sTart Pulling out some Real Kinky Ish...Like an Hpa Fed 8mm Custom Made Serbu Super Shorty Shotgun, that instead of firing 3 rounds at a time,Now only Fires 1...But with all the Energy designed to propel 3...8mm Rounds.....But Now only fires 1...Except it now fires at ..eh 440-460 Fps..With a .34G 8mm..Umm Holy Joules Batman...I Felt like the D*pE Man of the Year,When i sTRolled out looking like a Retarded Ghost Buster,and 5 minutes into the Game..i've got Grown Men Swearing like Sailors ..Moments After they Question my 60FT call out distance,an Sneer at my Baby Shotgun (original inner barrel length retained,so is jus a big longer than an actual serbu) Their B.s Comments Turn to "W.T.F's"

An i, Yep Gotcha i gave you a Chance man..Betcha'll respect it next time wont'cha ..As i skip off to acquire more 200ft chest shots...

yeah..im addicted..But hearing "Hit" ... is like Rehab.

I'm sure others have larger collections or nicer guns (like WolfGeorge) but the unusual thing about my collection is that 90% of the guns are Tokyo Marui. Some of the rarer ones are:

TM SPAS-12 with metal stock
TM M14 with G&P EBR kit
TM PSG-1

I also own five (yes, five) Recoil Shocks - including the rare G36K. I know you'd be interested in the fact I have four Glocks (TM 17, 34, 18c, 18c AEP).

At my most obnoxios point, i had well over 300 guns ( I think one time when I actually tried counting i was @ like 343)
I've recently purchased a house and in preparation of doing so, over the past year i cut my collection down quite significantly
Im down to like maybe 130 or so.
Most of my collection is a bit of everything save for rare or antique guns,those were the first to go.
I've got nice stuff, just nothing i'd consider rare anymore,except for my C.R.A.D.L.E gearbox.. I was able (lucky) to get the creator,to sell me his last one,that technically wasnt for sale but was keeping as memorbila for himself.Well he was kind,enough to let me purchase it as i promised to put it 2 good,use..which i have,its btc'd siegetech'd SatanM180'd pulling back a m180 spring an doing just fine.
For,awhile when i'd first started to be honest i was a T.M hater, i didnt,care for the lower fps...that is until i owned a few and learned about the magic that makes a T.M And subsequently earned my respect.
Nice,yeah i have M&P's like you,have glocks,i just like em,especially my vfc ones with full auto... Even tho my primary sidearm is still a G18c.

As i downsized my collection an improved my tech'n skills i got pretty deep into a few builds, and for awhile there worked on building the strongest gearboxes to try an make an Aeg that could match my P* in terms of power, an i've got a few that are close.but i wouldnt run em as hard comfortably as i can one of my P*s

After selling most of my unique or rare guns,the pride of my collection would be my high end built gearboxes. I have every CnC'd or highly rated gearbox made thus far,except for 2. A mt.haynes and a prowin (almost had a prowin,even paid for it,it was coming from a tech at umbrella armory..that somehow after receiving payment went ghost on me, thank God for paypal covering my *** cause $400 or so is alot to loose)
But aside from,those 2,i've got at least one of the "strongest" gearboxes. And have yet to find anything stronger than the newest Retro Arms split gearbox with built in hopup, which is esentially a much better version of the prowins. And after getting it,pretty much lost interest in acquiring a prowin especially being how expensive they can be.

that absolutely made my day when i read your first post. it is so spot on. and jeez i though i had alot with like 11 and counting...300+??? that's awesome. go you. and congrats on the house and all that jazz however long ago that was. I also love your idea on building the strongest gearbox. I still havent had the balls to crack one open yet for fear a tiny spring is gonna shoot out or something and I'll have no idea where it goes...and im sure we all know about fixing other peoples mistakes when it comes to teching lol...anyhow, thanks again for the wonderful post and description of our addiction, definitely a pleasure to read!

Sorry to hear it's such a pain to shoot guns. I think I would cry.
I had to buy a Dillon xl650 to support my habit. It paid off in the first year. I shot enough to where the price of components an cash spent on the press were even with the cash I saved if I had been using factory ammo. Now I got a Super1050 too

It doesn't look like I'll be any better of in airsoft hahahaha
I "accidentally" bought 5 in a weekend just so I would have an airsoft gun
