Time for a scope!

    If you already have a machine, or have access to a machine, the material's fairly cheap, but the machines run between $750 on the lower end and many thousands of dollars for the industrial stuff. It's very much "for real," though. As long as you can work around its limitations, such as time-to-print, a generally plastic medium, and poor finish coming off the printer, it can be incredibly useful. I've replaced several parts in my rifles with 3D prints (mostly hop-up nubs and adjustors).
