My slide is sticking without the slide catch being engaged. I go into greater detail in the description of the video, which I will copy and paste here:

The slide sticks when I rack it back. It's not the slide catch engaging and locking the slide back. I try to demonstrate this in the video. It seems to be catching/ grinding on something. I've lubed the crap out of it since I thought that was the first possibility, but that only helps for about 3 racks of the slide. I'm pretty sure this gun is discontinued and had to buy it from ehobby asia, so I'd rather not return it. I would also know how to fix this problem myself since I prefer a more hands on approach to this hobby. It will help me understand this gun better. Also, other than this problem, I love this gun. It still functions perfectly fine when shooting, just hangs up when racking the slide back and a pretty gentle push usually helps it along to the fully forward position. You can also see, when I do use the slide release, the slide is slow to move forward. Before turning the camera on, the slide release wouldn't even release the slide. I was hoping to catch that on camera, but you know how that goes. I also thought that the outer barrel/ ejection port were touching the top of the slide, causing friction. Upon further inspection, it doesn't really even look like they are touching. There looks to be a tiny gap in between them when the slide is stuck. Another thought that I had was the the recoil spring was grinding on the inner guide rod, but I don't think that would be enough force to hold the slide back like it's doing. Watching the video back, it literally looks like I'm pulling the slide back with an empty mag in. I'm glad I showed the closeup of the slide catch not engaged while the slide was back, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to tell anything was out of the ordinary.

ANY IDEAS?

Okay, so there's a new development. I've figured out what it is. The gas tube or breech? is coming into contact with the hammer.

You can see the finish coming off of them both, but mostly on the breech/gas tube. Does anyone know if there's a way to adjust either the hammer so it sits lower when cocked, or the breech is higher up in the slide so it misses the hammer more?

I've come to realize that the slide doesn't stick when I go to pick it up for the first time that day (when it's cold). The longer I "play" with it, the more my hands warm the metal/plastic up, it starts sticking. Again, it doesn't really affect anything, it's more just the fact that I want it to work how I think it should work.

Since the friction between the breech and the slide is causing it to stick, a stronger spring would probably help it, right?

Does anyone know of/have a link to a stronger, upgraded recoil spring for this thing?

Okay. I'll try taking apart the gun's lower and take a look at it. If that is what's wrong, the part is pretty inexpensive. I'll also take a picture of it and report back.

Hopefully, I can get this thing back together pretty easily. It looks more complicated than my other gun (1911).

Thanks for the reply as well! Any advice is much appreciated.
