MAG midcaps feed flawlessly in my VFC 416. Couldn't tell you about hicaps, won't ever use them.

I assume its the mags because my 416 feeds well with the one it came with. Thanks Knief, but do you use any other mags?

Nope. MAGs have fed in every AR I've owned with no issues. I don't use hicaps, so I've never had a reason to try another mag. I don't even use the hicaps that come with my guns. Couldn't even tell you if the VFC 416 hicap feeds or not.

The hicap should feed fine. Only mags I've had troubles with are Pmags in both midcap and hicap flavor by two different manufacturers.

What brand mags do you use?

I seriously doubt a JG hicap would have this problem (Or hicaps in general) but maybe you're using crap bbs?

Hmm. I take the crap bb part back. So JG hicaps don't work, but the original hicap does?

Have you tried cleaning your JGs out?

I didnt unload the mag but I fired a quarter of it and no misfeeds. When I hold the gun upside down it fires.... and I siliconed them in where the bbs load up and on the wheel.

You do know that the VFC 416 has a different lower receiver/magwell than standard M4s? (I think you do but not sure?). And the hi-caps that come with it do not work in other guns.

OP: I am pretty sure MagPul EMAGs fit. I plan on eventually buying a few.

But M4 mags work with the gun right?

Sorry about the confusion. When I said different lower receiver/magwell, I meant to just say that the magwell on the lower receiver is thinner than your typical M4 magwell.

The 416 takes M4/STANAG mags just not all of them.

So the JG mags are the problem not the gun?

I run S-ARMS mags with mine. Not sure if you can still buy them.

Yeah, I have the newer version. Though I imagine the receiver hasn't changed significantly from one model to the next.

I use Classic Army magazines in mine and they feed very well.
