Ell guys, sorry if there is already a thread for this, but I searched all the keywords on two devices.

So I need to get the hop up out of a VFC scar H. I've taken it down to where I can remove the outer barrel. I know it shouldnt be that hard. So, how do I remove the hop up from a VFC scar H?

Give me about 20 minutes to there. Juts a question, do you have to take out the two allen wrench screws on the bottom rail?

I've had it for a while. Guy scammed me with it, and I'm trying to fix the thing up. VFC body, G&P gearbox. Externals like a rock.

Yes, I have it off. I also have the 4 screws on the side of that weird metal housing thing out.

Ok. Now you take the lower rail off like so

    ForumRunner_20120806_202833.jpg

Then pull the outer barrel out a bit

    ForumRunner_20120806_202929.jpg

Then slide the hop-up housing forward until it stops. Then, you should be able to lift that out some.

    ForumRunner_20120806_203144.jpg

Then just wiggle it out and work on moving that towards that back and moving the outer barrel forward.

If you have problems with this, let me know, otherwise, let me know once this is done. You should get this once you do these steps.

In the tiny hole to the right, put and alan wrench in there and loosen it until you see the tip of the screw. Like so

    ForumRunner_20120806_205233.jpg

Do this on both sides. The chamber around the hop-up should now be free with a slight tug.

    ForumRunner_20120806_205403.jpg

From here you just remove the barrel from the hop-up.

Thanks. Well, mine is twisted beyond belief. I'm having a issue with the bucking not fitting back in, any suggestions?

The way I did it, was put the bucking on the barrel, make sure the nub aligns properly with the barrel, then insert that into the hop-up.

Nice. Hope I helped. It was nice timing of you to post this when you did. I just replaced my hop-up, went outside to tune it, and pretty sure I melted some wires in the stock.
