OK guys, the bolt on my VSR-10 won't lock back when cocked. I immediately thought it was the piston sear but when I took down the gun to get a good look, it had maybe been stripped down a millimeter--but would that be enough to not lock the spring back? Or is there something else that could cause this?

Well, seeing as it only uses a 45 degree catch that much wear could be enough. Check the trigger sears as well, they could be just as bad.

Like Tyson said, look at the trigger sears, mine would occasionally pop out so I had the super glue it down.

so if the trigger shears are fine how can you tell if its the piston shear
