So, I'm beginning the upgrade on my SOCOM gear 10.5'' Noveski and I want to start with a MOSFET. Honestly though, I have no idea what I need for the install. I was wondering if you guys could link me exactly what I need for this set upgrade. I've found how-to videos on the actual work to upgrade. Just need the parts. I appreciate any and all help!

I did a MOSFET an botched it. I think it was just a lemon, but it could have very well been me. Research what kind of MOSFET you want. Active braking, etc. good luck.
Question: why are you wanting to start with a MOSFET?

MOSFETs essentially keep your gun's contacts from arcing electricity (at least). Arcing electricity in your contacts is a terrible thing to have happen to your gun.

Shouldn't it be a tinned solder?

Yep your gonna need everything that Alex stated- also make sure your gun is gonna be able to have space for the MOSFET.

This, if a disguised enemy mosfet is too big, you can get a microfet for around $15
