    Hey guys.
A lot of people say it is good to shim a gear box for an aeg....I don't really know what that means. I don't know what bushings are too.
If it helps improve the life of my G&G GR16 Blowback aeg, I'm going to do it. Also tell me what kind of shims I should get.
    Thank you

SHS shims will work fine, you can get them from Clandestineairsoft.
They are small metal disks of varying thickness they you use to adjust the height of the gears. It makes it so the gears have little back and forth play, but so that they can spin freely.

One thing that you HAVE to do when shimming is after you place some in and test it, you need to screw the gear box together instead if just holding it.

Bushings are what the gears actually sit in.
