Been in the market for a new balance charger for all my battery needs (mainly charging/balancing small Lipos/Li-ions). I used to have a SkyRC IMAX B6 but it got damaged beyond repair (crazy ex went HAM on my stuff). I got it a few years ago and on Amazon it seems as if the price went up by a lot since I first got it. Here's what I found so far:

    Tenergy TB6AC

    SKYRC iMAX B6AC
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ND7J38C?keywords=B6 charger&qid=1445573760&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3

    Thunder AC6
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/9269806723?keywords=Thunder A6&qid=1445573830&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

I know I could save money on just buying the unit itself but not sure if a generic laptop charger will be good enough.

    TL;DR
    1) Is there any quality differences between these three chargers?
    2) Is there anything else I should try looking at?

    That's horrible advice.

The IMAX B6 or Accucell 6 are both great choices. They have been used by the RC and Airsoft community for years and are the most recommended intermediate charger.

Go to HobbyKing to find good deals on batteries and chargers.

+1 on the IMAX B6 and Accucell 6. If you are charging batteries of different chemistries, take a look at the Radiant Ascend Charger. I have used one for years as I have gone through the transition from NiMH to Lipo batteries. For @$60 at Hobbytown.com, you get a balance charger that will charge NiCd, NiMH, LiPo and LiFe batteries. It has a digital screen that gives you charging progress, a built in voltmeter, option to charge from external AC or DC power supplies and other goodies. It is also microprocessor controlled so that it can detect damaged lipo cells and won't charge them. It's been used in the RC car/plane hobby for years.

Just another option if you need it. The IMAX and Accucell Chargers will also serve you well.

My apologies if so. That was certainly not my intention. I'll remove my post.

Thanks for the help, ended up going with the IMAX B6 again, just for familiarity and that I can look up authenticity too. Didn't know it was such a big issue with counterfeits.
