I've had this for about a year just as a nice wall hanger/collectors item. I used this on a field just once for fun. Other than that it has sat comfortably on display. Decided to put it up for sale to make room for bigger/more expensive things.
Gun Overview: The gun has excellent build quality and is very well thought out internally. Apart from the CPU and a custom gearbox casing, The gun uses standard AEG parts. Making it easily upgradable if you wish to do so, however I found the performance to be great out of the box. The proprietary hop-up is fantastic, easily one of the best "out of the box" hop ups I've used. ~343 FPS @ 16.2 RPS, making it CQB field legal as well as performing very well at long distance.
In terms of "cons", there are really only three things wrong with it (to me). The front grip and some trim pieces are coated in a nice soft rubber, but it does wear easily to me. The side green LEDs are very, bright so night game stealth is a bit difficult, and the built in flashlight is a 3W LED, which is fine, but I would switch it out for a brighter one (5W) if I were using it in night games.
Onboard CPU overview:
The gun has a built-in circuit with quite a few functions briefly explained below. It runs off of its own separate (9-volt) battery located in the stock.
-First, it has an ammo counter which will reset automatically when the magazine is ejected or rewound. The display has 95 as a maximum and is the exact amount it can fire before the magazine has to be rewound/reloaded. Magazines can be fully rewound twice for a total of 190rds.
-The gun will not fire even if it is plugged in and safety is off. Only when the computer is powered on. Once it is powered up it will fire.
-It has a feature called "smart stop" which means the gun will not fire when the magazine runs out or needs to be rewound. It will also not fire without the magazine inserted.
The semi/full auto function is also cpu controlled and is indicated on the ammo display.
--for the future owner, when the CPU battery is running low (9-volt in the stock) the "smart stop" feature will turn off to save power for firing. The gun is not malfunctioning, this is normal.

CB-88 MA5B Halo Assault Rifle
