M making this thread just for a friendly discussion of who prefers what, why. Posts can be for either topic, for both, and can be be about most anything. I want to stress friendly, as in if there is Slander tossed, or insults used, and it gets out of hand I will close the thread(delete it if I can, I'd not I'll pm a mod). I just want to see what most people prefer. If there is already a thread for this, just close it or pm me.

I prefer Playstation, but I'm not a fanboy. If I was offered a free Xbox I'd take it, and use it. I don't really like how you have to for online, but it doesn't detract from the quality. I love the Halo series, probably my favorite FPS series of all time. Halo 3 is my favorite FPS of all time, it's what got me into first person shooters anyway.

Definatley Xbox over playstation. But Ima computer guy, I have so many freakn computer games that you just cant get and wouldnt be the same for a console. Like the Age of Empires series, the Civ series, Halo 1 (on cpu so much better), the total war and command conquer series. Those are like the best, and now people are putt'n old NES games online so that makes it even better. But then you have Zelda..... Hmm I take my comment back, definatey console.

Having had both I can honestly say that they are about equal. I owned a PS3 because at that time none of my friends had Xbox's. When 8th Grade hit everyone swapped over to Xbox and I followed suit. The gaming experience is the same on both except I have noticed more "Internet Gangsters" on xbox recently. Overall I only play xbox because of my friends and party chat

There's more "gangsters" because Xboxes are slightly cheaper than PS3s so little kids can convince their mommies to buy one for them, ad they go around acting like badasses using those darned potty words.

In general consoles vs computer, there could be Xbox Xbox 360 wii ps2 ps3? Maybe ps1 and / or NES.../SNES
PS2 is the greatest system of all time IMO. Plenty of titles, 90% of great and fun to play. Backwards compatibility with PS1 games, so I can play MGS 1 anytime I want without having to buy a new outdated console.

Wow, sorta true, but so dang hilarious! Squeakers are pretty common. I personally only have an Xbox 360 but my best friend has a ps3 I have used quite a bit. I like Xbox more I think it is because of the remotes. I think the Xbox thumbstcks are raised slightly higher than some ps3 remotes, or it is just the shape of ps3 remotes. Either way I find myself on the lowest sensitivity barely getting the chance to succeed. :( I like ps3 being free but it doesn't change my inability to play.

Ahh I miss my PS2. The days of playing Golden Eye: Rogue Agent, Punisher, GTA: SA and Vice City, and Star Wars Battlefront 2

Im talking about the people who do the IP flooding and host booting booting, but both are bad
Oh yeah, THOSE guys... God I hate hackers... And Xbox guys don't laugh at Playstation for being down for a month, Xbox gets hacked daily, SONY hadn't had to deal with hacks before so they didn't know what to do. Microsoft even hired a former hacker to STOP hackers from hacking the game... :p

/yo dawg, I heard you like hackers.

Never had golden eye, but had a ps2 some time ago, and still have one at my dads home. I have more hours on that than Xbox... But I can't imagine by much. Ps2 probably takes the cake for my all time fave, but currently enjoying xbox360.

The PS3 controllers are smaller I've heard. I'm used to high sensitivity, just increase by 1 level each week and you'll get better at it. But don't go so high that you're spinning in a circle when you just tap the thumb stick to the side.

I did that once just for kicks and giggles on halo. Let's just say I didn't do so hot. :p

I really think they are about the same. Each have there pros and cons. It's really only personal preference.

Hacking a game and hacking an entire online support system are two completely different things. But I see your point.

I personally like Xbox better for several reasons:

1.) The Xbox controller is more comfortable and more user friendly. The only advantage the ps3 controller has over the Xbox controller is the d-pad.
2.) Xbox has party chat.
3.) Xbox has Halo, 'nuff said.
4.) Xbox also has Gears and several other things that ps3 doesn't. Personally the games limited to ps3 aren't really my style (except for maybe h
Heavy Rain, that seemed intense).
5.) Xbox has achievements. You can say that ps3 has trophies blah, blah, blah. I don't really care, the Xbox achievements have gamerscore.

I recently traded in both my Xbox 360 and my PS3 for a shiny new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 :D I prefer PC gaming, mainly since I'm used to mouse/keyboard and the superior graphics but also because of things like the Steam Summer sale. No more $60 games for me!

EDIT: And another thing, no BS achievements. They get annoying and are worth nothing. Especially those guys on Xbox who buy games just to boost their gamerscore (I'm looking at you Aang...)

Can't believe you didn't include it in the debate but Wii all the way! It's uber good! Just kidding lol.
