This isn't so much of a "what gun should I get" because the decision has already been made, so to speak, but I was wondering about the differences between the PPSH-41 offered by Snow Wolf (branded 6mmProShop on Evike) and the S&T one.
I got the recent "Box of Awesome" from Evike and, based on sheer probability and a rough guess on packing weight, I've almost certainly received a Snow Wolf (6mmProShop) PPSH.
Now, at first I was pretty pleased with this. The S&T one has glowing reviews all over the internet about what a neat gun it is and how it has a real wooden stock.
The Snow Wolf on the other hand... I can find nothing on. At all. Other than that the stock is plastic, pretty much making the gun worthless right out the gate for me. Other than that though, does anyone know how inferior it actually is mechanically? It seems like a pretty direct copy except for the stock which, while a real kick in the nuts, wouldn't prevent me from at least trying to field the thing.
If anyone's had bad experiences with one though, please let me know so I can leave it in the packaging and try to hock it so I can at least get my money back.
