Hey y’all, recently I picked up an Arcturus NY06 off Guges, and while testing it out I started to notice something interesting. On the stock 18:1 gears and 24K motor, with an 11.1v, I’m getting just over 20 RPS. I did the math on that, and that RPS would seem to put my motor efficiency above 90%. Am I crazy or does 90% seem a bit too high? The spring is consistent just above 380.
It is possible at least that the motor is off spec or even that this gun somehow has Arcturus’s 28K motor instead of the 24, but I thought I’d post here to try and learn a bit more about motor efficiency.
In comparison, I’m used to 18:1 builds with 30K motors doing 20 RPS (about 75% efficiency).
