Anyone run an Iron Mesh Half Face Mask, Goggles, and Tactical Hat / Baseball Cap?

I'm having trouble finding a comfortable solution combining these face-protection items. The Mask and Goggles go together great...but having a hard time with the hat. Suggestions / Tips / anyone run this loadout?:

1. Half Mask (Iron Mesh)

2. Arena Flakjak Goggles

3. Any standard baseball cap (tactical or flat brim...whichever works best)

Tips?
Thanks :)

I run with goggles and and skull half face mask from evike and a tab fox racing hat and it seems to work good but you will have to wear the hat backwards if you use googles but they make full seal google that kinda look like sunglasses with is what u recommend because then you can use the ht foreward

I have ran an iron mesh with flakjaks in the past but had to stop because the half mask would bruise the bridge of my nose from the pressure it put on it. However I could wear a ballcap backwards just fine.
Yeah, I feel like I'm contantly doing adjustments in the field with the half mask. I think it looks the coolest imo however I never know if it's up too high or down too low.

I'm also guessing the only way to combine a hat into this equation is to wear it backwards?

I use that set up :)
Put the iron face mask on, then the goggles, then the hat (if you want the hat to sit forward.
If you want the hat backwards, put the iron mask, then hat, then goggles on top of the hat's lip
So basically if I want the hat to be "forward" I have to purchase a bigger hat, right? haha

I do it occasionally, no issues for me. I just don't like the look. Not 0p3r4T0r enough. N33d5 Mur 0p3r4t0r! Without the mesh face mask, baseball cap looks ok with glasses. But I prefer my face not being f***ed up any more than it is ;)

What you need is a different variety of baseball cap, which basically comes down to the 'operator hat'. The primary difference being that shooting hats have brims that sit higher up, so they don't interfere with your vision, safety eyewear, or the gun itself if you are staring down low sights.

Personally, I use one of these: http://www.skdtac.com/SKD-Tactical-Ball-Cap-p/skd.201.htm
There are quite a few others on the market, however, but that is a much cheaper alternative and copy of the HSGI cap design. Very light and comfortable, and fit just about any goggles without issue (although I use ESS Advancer V12, ESS Profile NVG, and Bolle T800's, so I've no idea if the Arena Flakjackets fit).

I'm pretty sure the ESS Profiles and Arena Flakjaks are around the same size, so I should be good there!

Would you recommend this hat?

Also, do you wear yours in front or backwards?

I can never fit my Bollé X800 Tacticals with my mesh half-mask. I usually roll with just a baseball cap facing forward and my X800s, or throw a shemagh or thin cotton balaclava into the mix. It's got to be a 2 or 3 hole though, if my mouth isn't exposed I get goggle steamage.

i just got a half mask like the one shown, i also have the full seal "sunglasses" goggles too what im trying is put the mask on first hat second and goggles last, adjust. that seems to work for me.

This is my exact set up.
Same gen2 mask and Flak Jaks

If you're okay with ditching the mask, a shemagh (tactical scarf, desert scarf, et al) is a very awesome alternative. I run with the tacti-cool ballcap, issued ESS or Wiley-X gogs/glasses, and a shemagh. You definitely get the operator look going that way, more so than with the mask.

This is the order I put them on: Hat, then Half Mask, then goggles over it.

I wear a similar setup, but I wear a helmet. Works nice if you put on the half mask first, then the helmet and secure it with a chin strap. Keeps the half mask on snug, and you can just wrap your goggles around the helmet.

Whoops, didn't see the reply.

That hat is alright, and you shouldn't have any trouble provided you don't curl the brim much. The real issue with most hats is reducing your field of view, which is more significant if your head is tilted down slightly. Condor 'tan' is also pretty brown from what I remember, much like the swatch on the left of the image on that site.

I wear mine forward, but more because the strap at the back is a bungee that is not too friendly to the bare forehead.

I have a lower face and I either run it with my Flakjaks and a helmet or small goggles and a Shemagh. I feel that the Flakjaks are too bulky for just a baseball cap on top, but that's just me.
