Why not write the seller an email and ask, just to be on the safe side? ;)

n the crossdraw vests there's straps on the sides to change the sizes. I believe in terms of T-shirt sizes they fit Medium to XXL
At least I've seen a small 13yr old kid give a vest to his 300lb dad who wore it with no problem.

Also the mag pouches hold 1 M4 mag w/ lots of wiggle room OR 2 M4 style mags with no wiggle room.

My only complaints about the cross draw vests is that if you decide to change your load out there's not too much room for customization such as adding extra pouches. In fact only the pistol holster can be removed.
I'd personally spend the money on a molle-style vest/rig and customize it to fit. It'll cost a few bucks more but will pay off in the end.

hey man i gotta agree with Buster, those vests you are gunna hate after awhile unless on the odd chance your a lefty. look at those mag pouches and their placement. High up on the right side of the chest. you are either reaching your left hand all the way over and under your gun or you are pulling them out with your right hand and removing the magazine with your hand off the trigger. Honestly you might want to reconsider. How much do you have for a budget mate? would you be willing to look down other avenues? I hear buy once, cry once an awful lot and I think you might be crying more than once with that vest if you know what I mean.

***Edit: The second link provided by Buster is a RRV style vest, that middle bib folds down and out of your way if you don't want or need it. I have no experience with the Condor version but the Pantac one is a popular favorite for guys up here in New England. Very comfortable with great potential to expand upon it.

Another GREAT idea is to search the classifieds for used vests.

I'm I'm pushing you away because every person I know who's purchased a cross-draw has sold/traded it within a year of purchasing it because it causes more hassles than solutions.

two of my friends have. Not hating on them but they become damn near useless once you see why you should fall in love with MOLLE<3<3<3

i like molle and i would love to have a molle vest but i only get money once in a blue moon. my idea is get one of the crossdraws as a start for my loadout, and once i finally get a job either sell the crossdraw or give it to a less fortunate team member and move on to a molle vest. but with no money its fairly useless to have a molle vest and no mag pouches, it all comes back to me being a broke s o b . if i can just find a job near by i would be good but the closest town is 10 miles away and in between there are just family owned businesses that dont hire unless recomended by a worker :(

Well in that case, I suggest you go to a "local" Army Navy and check out some of their vests/rigs. Sometimes you'd be surprised with the gear they have in stock.

well what is your budget mate? so far everything you have posted is within 35 dollars? and what kind of gun do you have? m4 platform?

i have the cyma m14, i believe a m14 mag can fit in a m4 pouch. but i have 50 to work with including shipping

mhmm that is a tight budget. is it an absolutely necessary you get it right away? I would wait unless you can find something better in a classified or a surplus store like buster suggested. Try seeing if you can find an ALICE gear chest rig, its a different set up but they shouldnt be more. If you can wait or would be willing to wait maybe a weesatch style carrier would be good for you as it is molle but has built in mag pouches. They are a little more than what you wanted to spend but just trying to be helpful and give you some options.

(look at the pantac AK tactical chest rigs as those can handle m14 mags. airsoftgi also carries the weesatch/mps vest as well as the tactical chest rigs.)

i would wait but there is 2 things

1) im not very good at keeping track of my money at all

2) i would have to wait literally another 6 months before getting anymore money

It looks like it would be better to get the the condor vest with the pouches because Id spend more money to buy the same pouches seperately, but I dont know. Ill play a little more and see what would be easier...

the problem that the crossdraw vests have as stated earlier was that they have the mag pouches placed akwardly so you would either have to take your hand off the trigger/grip to grab a new mag unless you are left handed whihc i would be easier to get to. my question is though what if i got the "left handed" crossdraw vest with the mag pouches on the opposite side, would that be better?

Best you can do (in my opinion):
weesatch or ciras.
For a beginner I recommend the oetech ETV, like a crossdraw, but not.
