Mp5k pdw: getting a bigger battery and more upgrades

I have an echo 1 mp5k pdw and i like the rate of fire but it seems like that my fellow team mates shoot faster. I would like to get a 11.1v battery and maybe a higher spring. What do i need to do to make it work with the 11.1v battery? Also anything else i should get like, shim kit? anything that will make the gun shoot better and be a more proficient gun.

I already have a 2 port cylinder and a 247mm 6.03 barrel (hidden by a silencer)

Help.. yes? no? maybe?

Well, if your crazy enough. Hi speed gears, reinforced piston, firefox 11.1 1350mah lipo(stick type), Systema piston head, G&P M120 motor, and an 8mm V3 gearbox shell. Around 150$ to get about 27+ RPS.

If Im not mistaken the E1 MP5K/PDW is a re-branded Galaxy,,,,,,if you are running the stock 8.4v battery then the rate of fire will be mediocre at best,,,even a good quality 8.4v such as a firefox 1600mah stick battery will give you a notable increase in ROF,,,,,another fairly inexpensive mod would be the addition of a high speed motor such as a G&P M120,,,,just make sure the GB is shimmed well.

Do not put an 11.1v LiPo near it,,,,,,the stock motor and piston would not know what hit them.
In order to tune the replica to be LiPo ready you would certainly be looking at the original outlay of the replica,,and maybe even then some.

Its primarily a CQB platform so outright power and range hardly matter,,,,,chances are its doing 320 - 350 on the chrono.
Simply down grade the spring to an M80(280 fps),,,more than enough for CQB and in turn will reduce the strain on the internals and up ROF.

G&P M120
M80 spring
good quality battery

With these three simple and fairly cost effective upgrades/downgrades then i see no reason why you wont be knocking on the door of 20 RPS.

Oo. and hairyman i just got a tenergy 9.6 1600mah so could i use that?
Providing its a stick type and it will fit in the upper receiver then yes it will work.

As for the MAH vs Voltage question,,,,Voltage is primarily what will up the ROF,,but quality also plays a factor.

Any body who has or has owned a Galaxy MP5 will vouch for this,,,,,when i had mine i was unimpressed with its lethargic ROF and semi auto lock up problems,,luckily i had plenty of Intelect 8.4v sticks that i used in in my folding stock AK's,,i never had the ROF chrono'd but i can vouch in saying that it certainly cycled a good bit faster and never suffered from the semi auto lock problem that previously plagued it.

I ran a test on my one of my Galaxy MP5K's.
I had the G5 rail system with a PEQ and a 15C 11.1v Lipo

With a stock motor, 17 RPS:

With a Guarder High Speed Motor, 26 RPS (untill the piston shreded):

I constantly run mine with 9.6V stick batteries, but you have to mod the charging handle for them to fit:

I'm running the Madbull Blue with an X nub in mine on a 247mm Systema 6.03mm TBB.

I've redone my entire gearbox. Guarder polycarb piston and piston head, Modify cylinder head, Guarder SP120 spring, Modify bearing spring guide, Guarder Hi Torque gears, King Arms tappet plate, Modify nozzle, ICS trigger contacts, and ICS metal bushings.
Hitting 395 FPS right now, and dead accurate to 150' or so.

Since it's the same version gearbox, I'd probably do the exact same thing. It's working great in my MP5K.

Of course, that's just my list. There should be less expensive options on those parts I listed if you look hard enough.

also sparky.. I dont know if you remember but we traded... a cylinder for a tf11 mag? well it turns out that my gun already has a 2 port cylinder. I'm looking at it right now and it already has a 2 port so the trade was pointless but i can always use it in another gun. I'm just letting you know :)

All the ported cylinders have 2 ports. The difference is how far from the cylinder head the ports are.

The stock Galaxy ports are about half way, like this:

On the cylinder you got from me, the holes are about 3/4 the length from the cylinder head, like this:

Just so you know...

I'll see if I can put a list of links together in the next day or so, but most of my online purchases have been Evike, RSOV, EB Airsoft, and eHobby. Some parts I bought at my local shops.
