Hi,
This is my first post and I just bought my first airsoft, a GFAP13. I'm a bit overwhelmed with but also excited by all of the intricacies of the airsoft field. I followed the directions and used the stock dumb charger to charge the stock battery. I then shot it a few times over the weekend without any problem. Here's my question.
I read that I should upgrade my battery charger to a smart charger to protect the battery from over-charging and other damage. I don't have the skillset to install a MOSFET in it. I'm happy with just having a NiMH battery in it. I also realize that the 500 mAh battery won't last that long.
There aren't any higher amperage batteries and the best spare battery I could find is this Nastima:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QYS86MT/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A32QMQUDJWY3FO&psc=1
What's your opinion on this battery?
Are there any smart chargers and/or hacks I can do to prolong the lifespan of these batteries?
Thanks!
