New(used) CYMA ak - LIPO, deans, fuse, mosfet questions

Picked up a used CYMA ak47 yesterday and a 1100mah 11.1v 15c LiPo. I'm a total beginner and need some advice.

1. Need to solder Deans on the gun - the two metal ends of the fuse holder were snapped together - no fuse. I can either:

A. Remove the fuse holder and run without.

B. Buy fuse and install and wrap with electrical tape. What size 20amp? 25, 30?

2. Having 2nd thoughts about LiPo - will it ruin this gun? Shoot semi-auto only?

3. Do I need to install a MOSFET?

4. Any advice (don't have manual) on maintenance, how to dis-assemble, adjust and tune, etc.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Finally, someone who did a bit of research before posting.
Cyma Ak. Good choice.
1)Deans. Good idea. It'd be wise to run a fuse. Most of the guns with fuses have a little plastic fuse box around it to proect it from breaking. Did yours have this? If it does, no worries. if it doesn't, I'm not sure. electrical tape could work.

2) It won't ruin your gun if you do some simple gearbox work. This includes shimming the gears and correcting the angle of engagement of the sector gear and the piston. (While you are inside the gearbox, you might aswell fix the compression and polish it up all nice and shiny.)

3)A MOSFET, while not 100% necessary, is a good idea. It will save your trigger contacts from electrical arching.
Disguised Enemy sell his mosfets and fuses in the classifieds.

4) Don't worry about not having a manual. Those things are pretty much worthless Chinglish. Check out the stickied topics in the upgrades section for tips and such

Thanks for your reply. No, it doesn't have the plastic housing for the fuse which is why I tempted to cut the brass fuse holder clips off and run it without a fuse. But a LiPo, even at 15c, can pump a fair amount of amps so I might try to rig something up. Looked at some of the videos and getting more confident about stripping the gun down and dialing everything in and maybe putting a MOSFET in. Local store wants $55 labor and $75 parts for the MOSFET job! Need to pick up a cleaning rod. Also bought a used Classic Army m15 which seems to have feeding problems with the mid cap mags that came with the gun - it test fired fine with a different mag. Need to figure out how to clean (plastic) mags and maybe lube them. Have some spray silicon from the hardware store and some R/C car silicone shock oil I might try.

You have all the stuff you need man lol.

Keep in mind, local shops need to make a profit off the things they sell and pay their employees. But that a crazy high price :/

For that LiPo, I think it was 11.1v 15c 1100mah. Should be putting out about 16.5 amps.
I would actually keep the fuse in. Use a 30amp fuse if you got lol.

CYMA Ak's can last a long time using a LiPo (11.1v or 7.4v). Got four personally lasting for over a year. No MOSFET yet lol. Abusing them first is the main priority ;D
