Opinions about the VFC HK416?

Okay, I was looking around ASGI for other good assault rifles and I found this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=7083
I really like the gun's externals, though I was wondering if it has nice internals, since I am not the best at adding in internal parts, etc.
I was thinking if this would perform better than a KWA G36c, since I heard that it's a nice stock gun.
I'll be using it as an all-purpose rifle, Field and CQB.

Opinions? Thanks.

Two of my team mates field this gun. This is all just my opinions and experiences with it. Ill start with a pro - con list.

Pro
AMAZING externals. Just....airsoftgasmic.
Good performance out of the box
Quiet. Not the quietest, but still has a satisfying pop when fired. Very crisp.
Heavy. Satisfying heavy, not painfully heavy.
Great crane stock battery compartment design.

Cons:
Price (for me)
Piston (been known to be problematic, dont know first hand)
Heavy, but like I said, satisfyingly heavy.
I've heard it can have wiring issues, but haven't experienced it first hand

Did I mention the externals are something otherworldly? It's as if Jesus himself fashioned this rifle from sunshine warmth, Katy Perry's loins, and angel hugs. Like most VFC rifles, it's remarkable.

Now the big down. We have 2 guys like I said that run these. One had an issue where the trigger would lock up. Like, you physically couldn't pull it. After playing with the fire selector for a few minutes, it would be fine again. I don't know if he's still having this issue, as he is lazy and doesn't play much anymore. Jerk.

The other, was flawless for probably 5k rounds or so. We had many backwoods field games and it always performed admirably. And hurt. A lot. One day out of the blue he pulled the trigger and something stripped BAD. grinding gears, gun won't fire. I suspect it's the suspect piston I've read about, but who knows. It's going back to umarex if he ever gets off his equally lazy butt. If they won't warranty it, we will just swap out whatever stripped with a better part.

All in all, I'd buy it. Depends on your comfort level with opening her up if it needs some TLC. in both cases I'm convinced the fix would have been easy and fairly inexpensive.

Damn! For within you first fifty posts you really know where it's at

Any who
This gun will preform like no other
It will be unique because, it's not an m4
It takes STANG mags
The only two real problems are the wiring and the piston but one of the two already been mentioned

I own a vfc 416. It is my favorite gun. Vfc is known for its high quality guns. The externals feel amazing and the internals are pretty strong too. Externally the pistol grip feels great and the newer generations crane stock with the thick butt pad is extremely comfortable. Very little to no wobble what so ever in the gun. I personally love the hop up unit design. There are some reviews saying the stock piston is problematic however the piston head is aluminum, good airnozzle, and ok gears. It does come from the factory w/ "spring shimming" which is not really all that great (as compared to a good shim job from a tech) just more of a marketing scheme. I only ran my 416 stock for 1 game (except for an er hop) and it performed perfect. It chrono'd around 300fps with .25s. I er hopped it right out of the box and with the hop I was getting good range for a sub 300fps gun. Rate of fire for a stock gun was pretty nice. It never locked up on me, overheated, or anything, I played with it for more than 7 hours in a swamp in SC. All in all VFC is a great company and if you can afford the 416 I highly recommend picking one up. Also check out my 416 now that i finished upgrading it. http://www.airsoftsociety.com/gun-registry/umarex-vfc-hk-416-pdmr-1616.html
Hoped this helped.

Thank you for your opinion!
And by SC do you mean the one in SoCal? (I'm quite new to airsoft, so :p)
Anyways, that sure is a fine looking gun.

Im sorry I meant SC and as far as getting a piston an shs blue 15 steel tooth as been proven to be an extremely reliable piston. http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/SHS-B...ource=googleproducts&utm_medium=cpc_feed&utm_campaign=comparison_shopping_feeds
i just googled it if you shop around for that piston i have found them as cheap as 12$ with shipping from some locally owned online sites.
