PolarStar Hose Run...?

I don't imagine this thread going anywhere, just thought I would put my idea out there.
The main reason I believe many people (myself included) stay away from HPA is due to the hose (and $$$)

It has occurred to me that many P*s, fusion engines, etc, have the line running out of the receiver just below the stock. However, some also run the line out from the bottom of the pistol grip.

Has anyone ever thought about running the line through their sleeve? As in: Hose out of grip bottom, into cuff, down sleeve, out to a tank on their PC/belt/etc.

I realize now that this may have an issue with sidearm transitions, but thought I'd give it a shot :D

Thoughts? Specifically from HPA users?

Honestly, you don't notice the hose while you are playing...especially if you run the hose through a loop of your cumberbund on your strong side. The problem with running the hose down your sleeve is that you have to disconnect it both from your gun and from your regulator to get your gear off. If you really want to hide the hose, run it along the part of your sling that runs over the shoulder of your plate carrier and to the pack or pouch where you are carrying your tank.

I have found that running with your tank in the pouch on your belt gets pretty cumbersome...especially if you try to "go prone" on that side. Just my $.02.

Yea you're probably right, I don't own one so I don't really know. IME, anything sticking out like that has snagged when I'm walking/crawling/running through the brush.
Also I didn't really imagine you would be taking off all your gear very often ;)

If you run the hose through a mole loop on your plate carrier cummerbund, it keeps it closer to your body and makes it less likely to get caught on brush, etc. Usually that's not a problem. As far as taking off gear, it gets hot (95 degrees+) in the summer in Georgia with high humidity. Sometimes you need to take you carrier off between field games to prevent overheating and the risk of heat stroke.

I sincerely hope you're talking farenheit ;) but yea humidity would be a killer. I just hate having to put it on, take it off, etc. Although heatstroke is definitely a larger risk in the southern states. In Canada we just chug some Maple Syrup and our ailments are cured.
