My friend decided to get a thompson m1a1. later I saw the m1928 or Chicago typewriter. Could someone explain the difference to me? As far as i can tell the m1a1 is just smaller but is there an fps or rate of fire difference? Also is the 1928 too big for a kid/teenager? Thanks

The only difference is the front end which on the Typewriter is longer and has a vert grip. The military Thompson has a shorter front end and the traditional rectangular hand guard.

Performance-wise they should be pretty much identical.

Tommy guns are surprisingly long, and that may pose a problem for smaller people.

So as I was looking around, I saw this gun on amazon with 3 different names: soft air Thompson 1928, king arms Thompson 1928, and Thompson 1928 full metal body AEG. Are they all the same?
They are the same gun type, but the brands are different. Also if you buy one, get the full metal. Trust me, they cost more but it is worth it.
